HOME THIS IS AN OLDER HOME BUILT IN THE 1950'S THAT STILL HAS TRAITS ASSOCIATED WITH AN OLDER HOME. While there have been some small cosmetic renovations it still has old bones and guests may notice areas of uneven flooring, cracks in ceilings, cracks in paint, etc. If comparing prices in Charleston, we feel it is an affordable alternative to hotels and other homes in the area but anyone expecting luxury accommodations in a brand new house should look elsewhere. INSECTS As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND. DAMAGE DEPOSIT A $500 damage deposit is automatically billed upon arrival. It will be refunded to your card after checkout if there are no claims made for damages.
