"Do not stay at this place. This is more of a rooming house for work teams than a normal hotel for tourists or travelers. Working guys need a place like this I get it, but you should know this going in. I travel a lot and use this price range of $100 or a bit more per night. I paid over $500 for 5 nights at this place. We arrived late and tired so we stayed one night. The lot was full of trucks, we couldn't park near our door. Upon first opening the door the blast of bleach type disinfectant was overwhelming. The window didn't allow opening for air. We left the door open for a while but we were ready to sleep so we turned on the AC and tried to get the fan working, nothing worked. We had hoped for the fan to drown out the parking lot noise and provide fresh air. The refrigerator was close to my pillow and it rattled all night long. The beds were rock hard and we both woke up achy from the bed and with sore throats from breathing the strong odor all night. We looked under the sheets and found stained dirty mattresses. Before daylight the trucks all fired up and idled and left in mass. The working guys all left for maybe the same job at the same time. We gave up after a sleepless night and went to make some coffee. No coffee maker! That was the last straw. When daylight came I went to the office and said we would not be staying the next 4 nights. He didn't seem surprised or ask why, he said no refunds. The Royal Inn is not for tourists, sleep or normal basic comfort. Beware."

"The place was awesome, very cozy. We felt safe and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Wish the stayed would’ve been longer. The place was paradise. Definitely will be looking forward to booking it again. Very family friendly and clean."

"My two friends and I chose this location for a nice, peaceful, and relaxing getaway. I’ll start with the PROS: the scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the nearby downtown area is very cute with small coffee shops and restaurants to explore. When the resident family wasn’t home, it was nice and quiet. We also loved the friendly cat that came to visit—it was a sweet touch! Additionally, the owner was very responsive and quickly helped us when we needed new batteries for the remote.CONS: The listing stated it comfortably sleeps three with a queen bed and a twin bed, but the “twin bed” was actually an air mattress, not a real bed. Also, this rental is essentially a mother-in-law suite attached to the main house, which was not clearly described in the listing. Because of this, it felt less secluded than expected. We could hear the resident family, even with the windows closed, including children playing, screaming, and even full phone conversations. While we’re not opposed to kids being kids, we specifically chose this place expecting a more private and quiet experience. The listing describes it as a “cozy guest quarters” and it appeared under “entire home” results, which felt misleading given that it’s attached to an occupied main residence.Overall, this place has some lovely qualities, but clearer expectations in the listing would have made a big difference in our experience."

"This Vbro rental was perfect. It was very clean on the inside and felt like a stay at a wonderful home. The hosts were incredibly nice, they baked lavender chocolate scones and helped us find the location in the dark. I definitely plan on staying at the rental again. "

"This is a remarkable house, hidden in the redwoods on a small mountain road several miles from Watsonville. It's a uniquely designed home, a great kitchen, and four bedrooms. The road and driveway up to the house are themselves quite an experience, and guests should be aware that there are quite a few stairs up to the large deck. "
