"This was a fun place to stay. Kind of quirky, certainly unique. Clean and spacious and with a Scandinavian vibe.
Could have used an extra hook or two for towels and the sink was a challenge as water tended to splash over onto the floor. Free use of bikes and an outdoor sauna added to the special atmosphere. They also offer a couple of glamping options. Cool.
We tried the breakfast basket option one morning. Sharp idea. We would stay here again, without question. "

"I can't recommend Rustic Retreat enough for a stay in Lake Placid. Comfortable, cozy and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and relax and we all loved hanging out in the main floor living room with the wonderful fireplace. Colleen was great to deal with and her welcome package is very informative. Located just outside of downtown Lake Placid, it is very convenient to all of the Olympic venues as well as getting to the surrounding towns in the area. Definitely a great place to stay!"
