This house was perfect for our family trip to Acadia. We were traveling with two kids and there is a whole cabinet filled with toys and games which was perfect for the kids. Details like a little kids table with crayons, coloring pads, scavenger hunt activities etc really went a long way to make us feel welcome. The outdoor space was gorgeous and we made great use of the grill and fire pit. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home and the sheets were crisp and clean. There were little sample size shampoo/conditioner bottles in the bathroom so if you are staying for more than a day or two you’ll need to bring your own. The kitchen is well stocked with a full spice rack, oil, vinegar etc. and plenty of cooking and serving equipment. There are regular backpacks, hiking backpacks, and hiking sticks available for use. We did not bring any pets but I saw pet bowls available too. Location wise, it is about a 20 minute drive to anywhere on the island. Echo Beach is pretty close.
