"The positives: location is near the center of Hayesville however it is a remote hideaway. Extremely quiet with no road noise or loud neighbors. And it was clean. The negatives: two days prior to our check in we were informed that even though the listing stated Wi-Fi, there was no Wi-Fi and and more importantly, that four-wheel drive was recommended for the loose dirt and very bumpy driveway leading to the home.Had we known either of the two aforementioned important details, we would not have rented this home.Further, the bed linen and towels supplied were of extremely poor quality and, more importantly, there were absolutely no shampoos, soaps, coffee or, any other basic supplies that we've come to expect from our extensive experiences."
"Came here to celebrate a birthday with my partner and parents. This property is absolutely amazing as soon as you walk in you’re met with great views and a clean smelling house. Already planning a return trip. Also, can’t wait until the stairs are complete for direct access to the river. "
Mountain Retreat - 4/3 - hot tub, wrap around deck w/spectacular mountain views,
10/10 Excellent
"The property was absolutely beautiful! It is uphill, but such a peaceful place. The inside is just as peaceful! There were many things for the kids to do! Pros: 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 large living areas, fully stocked kitchen, quiet, 2 very large walk around outdoor decks with plenty of activities, bbq grill, laundry, quiet and plenty of outdoor nature to seeCons: service was spotty (to be expected in the mountain) and could use a few minor updates inside. Had a blast here! Would recommend to anyone staying! "
Wood Haven on the River- cozy cottage on the Hiawassee River in Hayesville NC
10/10 Excellent
"This beautiful cottage is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The screened in back porch provides a beautiful view of the river. We saw many birds and bunnies during our stay. The house was very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a nice grocery store very close by as well. I plan to stay again next time I am in the area. "
