I enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing stay. The sunrise and sunset views were awesome and the creekfront location is beautiful, even on a chilly winter day. Communication was easy, and the property is as described in the listing. Everything was clean and the bed was SO comfortable, I wanted to take it home with me. A great spot for a quiet solo retreat, or couples get away. I can't wait to return.
We absolutely loved our stay in this creek-front home! The area is so peaceful and restful! And the noisy creek is wonderful! Thank you for such a beautiful place to stay!
I really enjoyed my stay. I had come up for a few days fly fishing in Nantahala and was lucky enough to stay at the ideal place. It was extremely comfortable and had lots of attention to detail. As others mentioned, being next to a creek with a roaring fire was bliss. The cabin was welcoming and well-appointed with basically everything you could need. I hope to come back!
We stayed in the unit above the carport. Very well maintained and excellent view over the stream. The owner is extremely friendly and was easy to communicate with. The small neighborhood of 8 houses is very quiet and beautiful. Our dog loved swimming in the stream and watching the cows.
My wife and I booked this property to come and enjoy the fall colors. The location, scenery, and overall atmosphere was fantastic. The cottage was clean and cozy with a nice fire pit next to the creek. Will definitely book again next year.
Neighborhood was great. Beautiful. Place next to the water. Porch overlooking the water was great. There is another rental, the house, right next door. Finishing a build on the other side really close to the property line also. Refrigerator is small. Overall a good stay. Would consider it again.
Peaceful weekend getaway, however it was a little disappointing because there was dust and dog hair all over the furniture and bed. I guess the person who stayed in the cottage before us had a dog because there was dog hair everywhere. Our allergies were a mess, so that was unfortunate. Other than that, it’s a great location and very serene with the creek.
The Carriage House is in a beautiful setting with a peaceful stream with tall trees, Smoky Mountain views, and many things to see & do in the area. We stayed here during Hurricane Helene: had quite a bit of rain but the power stayed on and the creek remained within it banks; a neighbor stopped by to see how we were doing! The owner communicated well & quickly with us before and during the storm. The house was well stocked with a great layout with comfortable bed and great shower / kitchen. During the rain we sat on the porch and in the open garage under the house. The asphalt road provided a pleasant area with great views to walk. Will definitely come back!

We recently stayed at this lovely property in Hayesville, NC, and it exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were impeccably clean, making it easy to feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It was clear that the hosts take great pride in maintaining their space, as every detail was thoughtfully attended to. The setting itself was incredibly quiet, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The property’s location was a dream for outdoor enthusiasts. Nestled in the mountains, it offered easy access to numerous hiking trails, catering to both beginners and seasoned hikers. The surrounding area was bursting with natural beauty, from the lush greenery to the breathtaking mountain views. It was a joy to explore during the day and then return to such a serene environment in the evening.
What truly set this property apart was its picturesque setting by a stream. The gentle sound of the water flowing added an extra layer of tranquility that made our stay unforgettable. We spent time relaxing by the stream, soaking in the peace of the mountains. Whether you’re looking for adventure or a quiet retreat, this property in Hayesville is an exceptional choice and one we would love to return to.
Enjoyed our stay drawbacks were small freezer area for ice cream and phone and internet service very slow
Other than that the home was well equipped and clean and we had a good time despite inclimate weather
Thanks again
We enjoyed the cottage and we had a wonderful vacation with our family. We rented the adjoining house so our family would be close by.
This is the third time our family has rented this property and we can’t wait to return next summer.
The town of Hayesville is fun to explore!
