One of Classic Hotels and historic. Incredible art collection including in each room. Bath room needs updating ,,, although mostly functional. Restaurant has a pretty set menu for dinner - so may not be your cup of tea. Not the world’s most creative menu.

Perfect place for a chill romantic holiday ! Friendly staff, beautiful and calm surroundings. The restaurant has the best food! This was our second stay, and we will come back!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel. The beds and linens were fantastic, the breakfast was delicious. This was but a pit stop on our road trip but this charming hotel will stay in our memories

Nice but let down by the restaurant

As you pull up to the Hotel you will be impressed with the building. Reception staff were welcoming and check-in was completed without any issues. We had two rooms booked, our room was old, but tastefully decorated, but the “kids” were not so impressed thir room was an overload of wood décor and just not to the taste of youth I guess. Once settled we retired to the bar, and the reception staff act a bar staff, once again excellent service and my wife commented on the Limoncello Spritz, apparently it was a winner. On to the restaurant, very impressive views over the Oslofjord, and in keeping with the hotel it was more of an art gallery and suited the location. Menu was “limited” was an understatement – my son has an egg allergy and all 3 starters contained egg, and on speaking to the front of house all we got was a shrug of the shoulder, OK no starter for my son. Main course, again a choice of only 3 again – my wife ordered the vegetarian option, only to be told by front of house that it was “sold out” and no alternative was offered (that’s a no-no!). What food we did get was typical Norwegian, overpriced and distinctly average. We did leave hungry, but luckily enough there is a local supermarket so we loaded up on snacks, and we did meet other diners there doing the same, so I think it’s a common theme. In summary the hotel is good especially if you appreciate art, the reception staff are excellent, the location is wonderful, but will I return I doubt it

Ich kann nur die bestehenden Bewetungen bestätigen. Das Hotel ist in die Tage gekommen, der Balkon mit alten Plastikmöbeln ausgestattet, ein gemütliches Sitzen ist schwer möglich und man schaut auf morsche Balken und provisorisch verkleidete Aussenwände. Das Schwimmbad ist super, die Auslastung wird durch eine Gebühr von 20 € pro Person gesteuert. Beim Frühstück bekamen wir immer den schönsten Platz, danke dafür, das Frühstücksangebot ist umfangreich und trotz der vielen Omnibustouristen nicht hektisch.

Das Hotel ist schön und ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich gestaltet. Zunächst hatten wir ein dunkles Zimmer mit kleinem Fenster Blick nach hinten. Wir haben dann gegen Aufpreis ein sehr schönes mit einem kleinen Balkon Blickrichtung Oslofjord erhalten, hell und freundlich. War den Aufpreis mehr aös wert, aber Geschmacksache. Frühstück war hervorragend, Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Smukt gammelt hotel beliggende tæt ved Oslofjorden. Hvert værelse har originale malerier af en kunstner, hvis navn så står på døren til værelset. Kan anbefale værelse mod fjorden med balkon. Virkelig hyggeligt. Morgenmad i pavillon udenfor er god, dog er kaffen for ringe. Vi afprøvede fitness rum, og det lille rum var udstyret med nogle gode apparater. Det står hotellet har 5 stjerner, tror ikke det er korrekt, 4 stjerner passer nok bedre.
