(499 reviews) The property is magnificent. Has its own beautiful beach. But clearly they are short on staff and on supplies - during breakfast I had to get off my chair to find someone to get me some coffee- since it was not self served. Our first night we ask for another blanket and they had none but send me a flat sheet Our beach towels were very damp because they did not have dry ones available. The worst part is that the running water in the room was medium brown in color. I could not use the water to make some tea or brush my teeth. I went to the front desk and ask for water- they gave me 2 little bottles and said I would have to pay if I want more. Maintenance came by and said it was not an easy fix. Same time a couple in a room about four rooms down from mines heard the conversation and stated that they were about to go to front desk to report the same issue. This hotel has always been the one that I stayed at on every visit to Tobago. Service has always been excellent. Clearly something has changed and I am hoping whatever shortcomings they’re experiencing is going to be short lived. I’m not writing off this hotel- I will be going back again. (360 reviews) Room was in good condition. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous and worked as best as they could within a the many flaws of the hotel. Ice machine broken, bar unmanned, room service every other day, ineffective communication between room and front desk (had to use WhatsApp) no tv (had to use your personal streaming like Netflix) and when it wasn’t working, no maintenance available until 11:00 pm that night. No food available at beach front bar on the first day. Shout out to Jamal who went over and beyond to accommodate for the flaws and made the stay bearable. Sad to see such a previously prestigious site in this condition.
