Jean and his family were very hospitable. The food was DELISH. We snorkeled and swam from the private beach. We enjoyed a private cabin with its own bathroom. I would return there for the price and culture. Most of the experience is quaint and family friendly. I enjoyed the porch the best. If you want room service and amenities it is more like staying with family. This was a great stay on a budget and we felt treated with value. Jean was knowledgeable to share snorkeling sites, hikes, dive areas, and more local info. The drinks were good, the food authentic. It wasn't over populated either like the large hotels.

This is my second visit to this idyllic spot in Moorea. A family run group of budget rustic cottages on the lagoon next door to the Hilton. The onsite restaurant serves very high quality food and a simple breakfast is included. The hotel sits oceanfront on a beautiful area of the lagoon with rays, sharks and fish cruising by all day. Air conditioned rooms which is rare in Tahiti and kayaks included, good for family on a budget.

Great little spot

Amazing location and very comfortable bed. I suggest you bring your own pillow. Very, very basic place. Minimal breakfast but still nice. Best to have a car if you stay here. Staff was very friendly and nice.

The breakfast was traditional for the islands which means no eggs, no bacon no sausage. Basically it was island tradition meaning Baggot rolls and papaya and orange juice. Anything else was extra. If it was available at the time I was there not readily available, which is understandable you have to go with a flow if you’re not used to it then it can be a culture shock but when in Rome do is Romans do in this case Tahiti do us Tahitians do

Fare Maheate is a great place to relax, do some swimming or snorkeling. Excursions with a separate outfit are available. Jean is offering rides to the supermarket, if needed, but meals can be ordered at the pension. The beach leads gradually into deeper water, which appeals to some swimmers. It provides simple comfortable accomodation with fans & aircon, full kitchen and bathroom, and everything you need for a great stay. The best part is the beautiful white sand beach on which it is located, where you eat lunch with your feet in the water (if you wish). Rays and fish swim by as you eat breakfast. It has a restaurant, open 5 days a week, and provides a simple breakfast if you want it. A great place at a very affordable price.

This is a family run pension with friendly staff, set on a picturesque private beach. The fish swim right up to the shore, there are comfortable chairs and tables on the beach and a stunning view of the sunset each night. The accomodation is basic but clean. The restaurant has wonderful platters/tapas and an excellent drink selection. You need a vehicle to access the supermarket and ATM. We would return again.

They have a beautiful beach Originally those who built the place did a beautiful job In at least the last 15 years it has not been well kept Untidy… not cared for security details The Manager was rude to me
