Villa Manatea is an upscale holiday rental on the east coast of Moorea, just 5 minutes from the ferry terminal.

Tucked away in a private, secure residential estate, it enjoys exceptional views of the island of Tahiti, the lagoon, and the overwater bungalows of the Sofitel resort. Along with its peace and quiet, it has another major asset: Temae, one of the island’s most beautiful white-sand beaches, is just 2 minutes away.

Built on three levels connected by stairs, the villa is not well suited to guests with reduced mobility or young children.

The owners have taken great care with the décor and chosen quality furnishings throughout. The kitchen features high-end appliances, and a smart home system controls the lighting and blinds.

Vibrant fabrics, light-filled spaces, and contemporary lighting blend with touches of exotic wood and local stone to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Main level (ground floor)
A few steps down from the parking area lead to the main level, the heart of the home: living room, kitchen, and covered terrace with 180° lagoon views. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine.
The master bedroom is on this level too. It has a king-size bed and a bathroom with shower, double vanity, and toilet. Its highlight: a floor-to-ceiling window at the foot of the bed that makes you feel as if you’re floating above the greenery and the lagoon. Waking up to this view is pure bliss!

2nd floor (highest floor)
Here you’ll find a bedroom with two bunk beds and a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm). They share a bathroom, with a separate toilet.

Lower level
An outdoor stone staircase leads directly to the infinity pool and its covered dining area. A fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a barbecue, and a ping-pong table are at your disposal. At the back of the kitchen, a laundry area houses a heavy-duty washing machine and dryer.

Chances are you’ll spend most of your stay by the pool, relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery. From July to October, during whale season, you may even spot humpback whales swimming along the reef.

Right next to the pool, a private bungalow offers a double bed and its own bathroom (sink, shower, and toilet).

Third level
A few more steps down, the third level is home to the second bungalow, which also has a double bed and a bathroom (sink, shower, and toilet).

All 5 bedrooms are air-conditioned.
