The cabin is beautiful with stunning views in all directions. Everything was freshly cleaned and check in/out was seamless. Thanks for the wonderful vacation!
Never stayed on VBRO, before but it is a beautiful experience to start. It’s a wonderful experience for a family bonding place where it’s a serene place to catch up on our busy days stories.
We loved our stay at the cabin. It is absolutely beautiful and peaceful out there. Wish we had more time to just sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and wildlife! Definitely want to return sometime soon!
This cabin is a slice of heaven, very clean, quiet, you see wildlife, fenced yard for our fur children, close to the black canyon and just a great place to stay and get away.
The cabin is comfortable and has everything you need. The proximity to Black Canyon was fantastic. A great place for night sky photography. We enjoyed hanging out on the front porch and back patio. If we are in the area again, we will stay here.
Beautiful, secluded property close to the entrance of the black canyon of the gunnison national park. We enjoyed the sunsets and nature watching at the cabin as much as our trips into the park!
Our family really enjoyed staying in the cabin. Its proximity to the Black Canyon is so convenient and the cabin itself is well-appointed. Very clean, all the comforts of home, and gorgeous sunset views! The kids loved seeing the cows out back and the adults appreciated the outdoor space after a long day of hiking.
We loved this place. You can't beat the location to the national park (which is why we were in town). This place has everything we needed. We used the grill and the kitchen for some home cooked meals. The views from the property are amazing. We saw turkeys and deer every day we were there.
We had a great 3 night stay here. Our favorite park was coffee and birdwatching on the porch. We went to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National park and Ouray. Orvis hot springs were incredible!
This place was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. You can tell the owner care very much about the property and we feel lucky they shared there amazing place with our family. There was plenty of room in the driveway for truck and trailer pulling jeep. I hope we have an opportunity to visit again.
Thanks for being great hosts!
We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin in Montrose. The setting was idyllic - loved having the cows grazing in the backyard pasture. And the house was immaculate. Our visit to the nearby Black Canyon of the Gunnison was spectacular as well. No complaints and definitely recommend!
Awesome cabin right outside Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. Peaceful and relaxing. Wild turkeys, deer and elk out back. Best to have four wheel drive. Would highly recommend!
The cabin was perfect for us-quiet, peaceful, surrounded by lots of green space, wildlife, and beautiful scenery.
The cabin was very clean, comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. It is definitely a part of our fond memories of our visit to Montrose and the Black Canyon.
Reese was a huge help when we had battery trouble with our Jeep. THANKYOU REESE.
The cabin was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is located in a private serene setting. It was clean, comfortable, and stocked with amenities. Us adults enjoyed the sunset from the front porch and stargazing around the firepit in the backyard. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft/bedroom area and the cows in the backyard. The property is very close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison and makes for a perfect accommodation while visiting the National Park. I also was thankful for the owner's thorough communication prior to the trip.
We stayed at this cabin for 2 nights to start our national parks tour from BC of G to Utah to Vegas. Our 2 adult sons, daughter in law and snoop the bassett hound. What an awesome place to stay. Loved the patio - saw elk and mule deer each night. Super convenient to Black canyon of Gunnison and downtown montrose. Colorado Boy pizza was a great find in town. Would highly recomend staying here for anyone visiting the area. Beds were comfortable - coffee was great! Kitchen was well stocked. Thank you!
Best little place to stay for visiting Black Canyon
This was such a quiet little place nestled back off the main road which provided all sorts of wildlife comfort in roaming close to the home. So many Turkeys!! Very well kept place, sheets are so soft and comfortable. The door was a bit finicky at first but owners were very quick to respond and provide guidance. I definitely recommend this place. The home is about 15 min off main road on a gravel road though for those who may want to know if driving a certain car.

This cabin, TRULY, lived up to it's name. My husband and I have stayed in a few, but this one tops them all! We were greeted by the local deer population as we drove up the driveway. The A/C and fans were on for our arrival as we stepped into a clean and spacious cabin. We LOVED sitting on the back porch and balcony, watching the wildlife come in and enjoying brief rain showers. Instructions from the owners were easy to understand - easy to follow, and everything we could have possibly needed was provided. We are looking forward to future stays at this beautiful cabin.
