The home built in 1907 is one of the original Montreat "Heritage Houses". The house features 3 bedrooms and 1 dorm room with multiple beds. Rock yourself silly on the wrap-around front porch. Conveniently located near Assembly Inn, Lake Susan, Robert Lake park for the kids, and "The Barn" for Friday night community square dances. Montreat is nestled just north of the quaint town of Black Mountain and only 20 minutes from eclectic Asheville. Things to do in the area include numerous hiking trails, golf, shopping, the Asheville brewery scene, Biltmore house, and much more. This house is an old but well kept mountain retreat. New heat and air conditioning system installed October 2017\. This property provides bed linens and towels. Appliances are dirty and work incompletely. Cookware is old and dirty. One eye on the stove in not functioning. Front porch is dangerous. We were informed that the upstairs toilet was not working properly and that a plumber had been called but that plumber never showed up during our four day stay.
