The location is excellent, with a variety of places to eat within a couple minute walk and Mt. Royal within walking distance for a getaway from the city atmosphere. All the colorful decorations in the pictures weren't there in-person. Other than that, it was just like the pictures.Communication with Sam was straightforward, except that the person who had the room the previous day was checking out late, and I almost barged right in on them while dropping off my luggage! While the apartment is conveniently located downtown and within walking distance to many attractions, that’s where the positives ended.The unit itself is far from “luxury.” The entire apartment is on a noticeable slant, and there was a constant draft coming from under the front door. This didn’t just let in cold air—it also carried the smell of cigarette and weed smoke from people smoking on the front porch.Noise was another major issue. The walls are paper thin, so between the neighboring units, street noise, and late-night crowds leaving nearby bars and restaurants, there was basically no chance of getting a good night’s sleep.To make matters worse, we were told multiple times before booking that parking was included and free. Once we arrived, we learned this was not true. Despite having written confirmation from “Sam” three separate times saying parking was covered, he refused to honor it and blamed the misinformation on a “chat bot error.” There was no attempt to make it right.Overall, the location is great, but the apartment is not accurately represented, and the customer service left a lot to be desired.
