Very central and close to the Metro. I should say though, don't be fooled by the photo, the building where you will stay doesn't look like these represented on the cover. Still the apartment had everything we needed. Travel light since there are no elevators to the first floor. St-Viateur bagels right across the street and the best coffee one can ask for at Flers just half a block away. Out family loved staying here - the apartment. was clean and had everything we needed. We could walk to many parts of the city without any trouble. Lots of great restaurants especially India rose, and boutiques and bakeries and bars and more. The owners were very helpful met us at the door, gave us all the information we needed for the house as well as dinner suggestions. They were very responsive. We really enjoyed our 4 nights in this clean, comfortable and well-furnished apartment in the Plateau, which is a great a base from which to experience Montreal! We were within walking distance of innumerable cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. The Mont-Royal Metro station was also only a short stroll away. I should also point out that although the apartment faces onto a fairly busy street, it is very quiet inside. Management was kind enough to accommodate our slightly early arrival, and I was glad to have access to a reserved parking spot a couple of blocks away. The hosts have thought of everything you'd need for your time away - it's a well-appointed apartment, very clean and very well maintained, and so close to everything one needs. It's also surprisingly quiet for being located right in the heart of the Plateau. We requested the private parking and were glad we did. The hosts made everything so easy and welcoming. Right in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood there are great shops, bookstores, restaurants, coffee houses and tea shops all within a few minutes walk. The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable with lots of light in the main living and kitchen areas. The windows appeared to be double glazed which accounts for how quiet the apartment was. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. The ktichen was well stocked in terms of cooking utensils, knives, cutting boards, etc. There's a market and wine shop only a few blocks away so both of those were our first stops after arriving in the late afternoon. The location couldnā€™t have been better, it was in the thick of things but was very quiet in the bedroom. Everything was needed was in the apartment. The main thing that we needed during this trip and it was a godsend, the air conditioning. It was very warm for our last five days in Montreal and the air conditioning was essential. Loads of restaurants and neighborhood walks in the area. Our first time in Montreal and we couldnā€™t of been happier. Metro is approximately four blocks away and we used it constantly. There are some main bus lines in front of the house. If you are a first timer in the city you couldnā€™t pick a better location. ##### Steven C. We had a top notch experience this past week! The hosts were phenomenal with their communication from the moment I booked the apartment and quite helpful and friendly, quickly answering any question I had. The apartment was just as I had expected, if not nicer. Very well-thought out touches, amenities and overall comfort and appearance. Location was terrific, with great bars, restaurants and coffee shops within steps, including the small grocery store next door. The metro was less than 10 minutes of a walk away, and an exceptionally efficient way to get anywhere downtown, in Old Montreal or in any other neighborhood outside of walking distance. A couple of lovely park areas were within a short walk. We would absolutely stay again and recommend this to anyone!! Thank you for a truly fantastic experience! :) ##### Elizabeth H. Everything you need within walking distance including groceries and restaurants in a cute area. Short drive to tourist attractions. Great for a couple or family- my kids loved the Murphy beds and big tv with Netflix. Lovely bathroom and design. Need to be able to walk up stairs to access. Parking about a block away in alley for small fee -was convenient and would recommend to book this. Minor issues with a new oven not working and air conditioner leaking- staff was responsive and apologized for inconvenience but not able to be fixed during our stay. Would have been nice to offer something for the trouble but overall we liked the apartment and hopefully the minor issues are fixed now. Would have given 5 stars otherwise! ##### Erica T. Overall Fantastic!! First time visitors from NC. Spent 3 days/ nights with teenagers exploring MTL. Wanted a local experience with access to historic sights. Eclectic area, safe, friendly and lively. Easy metro ride from Old Montreal. Bagels right across the street. Happened to be in town to see parade on St Denis. Donā€™t miss eating at Lā€™Avenue. Worth the wait ! Make sure you enjoy the murals when you take out the trash. Pros - space. 3 comfortable beds. Quiet even tho on busy street. Feels new and fresh - stylish decor and comfy couch . Close to metro , market , restaurants. Communication with property Mgr and willingness to provide flexibility. Merci. Cons - these are all minor. I did have a few issues that prevent me from rating it 5-stars however: There's a sign of some-sort (I can't remember what the sign said) that has a constant light on the ceiling header between the laundry/kitchen area and secondary bedroom space. Not a bother during the day, but at night when all the lights are off it interfered with my sleep because of the constant brightness. The washing machine didn't spin well and left my clothes sopping wet even after a few tries (it was only a small-med size load and nothing bulky) I was surprised and a little put-off by number and type of required duties put on the guest at Check-Out (just one example being, Start a wash of towels). I feel these type of things should be taking care of within the cleaning fee that's charged. ##### Penny S.
