Cloverdale is one of Montgomery, Alabama’s most charming and historic neighborhoods, known for its tree-lined streets, beautifully preserved homes, and vibrant local culture. Nestled just minutes from downtown, this area blends old Southern charm with modern conveniences, making it a sought-after destination for visitors.  
  
Dining options are plentiful within a mile of the neighborhood. Enjoy a fresh coffee or brunch at Vintage Café, located in a restored historic bank. I have been staying in VRBO and competitor properties all over the country and the world. Based on many past experiences, this property did not live up to expectations. Check in is ridiculously late..4PM. I flew in from London and was landing at noon so asked if I could possibly check in early. Joshua said that he would let me know. The next morning I hadn't heard from him upon landing in Newark so asked if he had an answer about early check in...again he said he would let me know. Upon landing in Montgomery several hours later he still hadn't contacted me so at 1pm I asked again. At that point he informs me that if I wished to check in early it would be an additional 20/hr. ! I agreed because I was exhausted. THEN he informs me that this would all still be based upon availability before 4pm?! This kind of communication until 2:15 when he tells me to pay for the 2 hours (even though it was now less than 2 hours) before checking in. I was in desperate need of a nap and a shower so paid the 40\. Well, guess what??? NO HOT WATER. So, Joshua says he will send the maintanence guy. Instead of a nap and shower I had to wait around for the maintenance guy to get there and to do the work. By this time I had to change clothes without showering after traveling for 24 hours straight. I told him, at the very least to refund the 40 which he eventually said he would do once I told him I would report the incident to VRBO. No coffee filters. One small bottle of water. Very basic
