The entire staff—from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the maintenance men—simply could not have been friendlier or more accommodating! The location is super convenient to the port for BuqueBus ferries, and the hotel overlooks the old Port Market. The room was spacious, if a bit dated. Complimentary breakfast was really nice and the staff were all very friendly. Helped us get a SIM card set up and get bikes rented for a ride around Montevideo. Location is great - right in old town Montevideo and right next to Mercado del Puerto - a must see! The Hotel is located near the port, in front to the Mercado del Puerto, a place call Ciudad Vieja (Old City) a nice and tourist Market with restaurants and gifts shops. In the night the area arround the Hotel is not so beauty as it is at daylight. Nothing to complain about the Hotel, the surroundings has many walking streets with restaurants, pubs and other ammenities, but you have to be carefull in the night. Like any other tourist area. The room and bed were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. There were mosquitoes and spiders in the room, the room was not clean. U see the bed was pretty filthy. The shower leaked. It was noisy - doors and room cleaning in the middle of the night.
