Kurzfristig gebucht, war unsere Wahl ein absoluter „Goldgriff“. Fern ab von üblichem Tourismusrummel kamen wir an einen Ort, der landschaftlich unendlich schön, ruhig, verträumt und doch sehr lebendig war. In unserem kleinen portugiesischen- landestypisch eingerichteten -Appartement mit riesiger eigener Terrasse hatten wir einen Ort absoluter Ungestörtheit. Das ganze Anwesen liegt eingebettet zwischen Hügeln, die mit uralten Korkeichen bewachsen sind und auf welchen verstreut, Rinder und Schafen mit ihren Lämmern weiden. Ein verwunschener Garten - wie eine saftig grüne Oase inmitten der von der sommerlichen Hitze ausgetrockneten Landschaft - lieferte jeden Tag frisches Gemüse für den großen und kleinen Hunger, - die blühenden Blumenstauden, Palmen, Oleander und Feigenbäume und die Glyzenienhecke, überall auf dem riesigen Grundstück verteilt, waren eine Wonne. Ein eigener Stausee und ein großer, äußerst gepflegter Swimmingpool boten auch bei der größten Hitze Erfrischung. Unsere Gastgeberin hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für Fragen, war ausgesprochen gastfreundlich und bemüht, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu machen. Wir haben drei Wochen auf der Herdade zugebracht und es ist uns sehr schwer gefallen, am Ende unseres Urlaubs von diesem verwunschenen Ort Abschied zu nehmen.

Experience the real portugal at Montemor-o-Novo

We had a wonderful quiet time at the 'Herdade' (cattle farm) close to Montemor-o-Novo. It is somewhat remote, but guarantees a quiet, authentic, but comfortable stay at the Portugese countryside. Very hospitable hosts give many tips about the environment.

Prima locatie is rustige omgeving. Op relatief afgelegen plek heeft de gastvrouw een aantal appartementen/huisjes bij hun woning/boerderij. Hierbij een lekker zwembad met prachtig uitzicht. Gastvrouw en haar man erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Oa tips over de regio. Leuk om met de gastheer tour te maken in zijn jeep over hun vele hectares grondgebied.

Casa do Olival is een appartement dat geschikt is voor 2 gasten. Wij waren met zijn 4-en en hebben gebruik gemaakt van de bank en een klapbed. Omdat je bijna alleen maar buiten bent, was dat geen probleem. Badkamer, slaapkamer en woonkamer waren netjes en schoon. De keuken was minder schoon. Er is een mooi ruim en schoon zwembad, de sfeer is goed, het uitzicht prachtig, de eigenaren hartelijk en gastvrij.

Sols collants, rideau de douche moisi etc... - Vue extérieure proximité immédiate avec une porcherie dégageant constamment des odeurs très fortes de lisier, dans un état de délabrement et apportant une nuisance sonore importante.

We (gezin met twee kinderen 10 en 12 jr) hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huisje. Gastvrij ontvangst, huisje schoon en prettig verblijf, bbq en pizza oven mogen vrij gebruikt worden en het zwembad is echt groot.
