Sat at the huge picnic table on the sprawling deck and watched the full moon rise - pretty magical evening. The owner (Ralph) was very accommodative and available if we needed anything. The upstairs and deck are wonderful spaces to sit, eat and talk. The kitchen was the best of any we have rented. The surrounding trees and hill give it a very secluded feeling. Not only is it a five minute walk to the beach and town, but a trailhead of Shadmoor State Park is a very pleasant 10 minute walk. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. The beach was so close-May be a half a block away. Fortunately, we had beautiful weather and the deck with the 4 lounge chairs was super nice to sit out early morning and enjoy our coffee. Every meal we went out for was excellent. One meal better than the next. We went out to breakfast in the town every morning. That was so enjoyable. There are 2 lplaces for breakfast. (Sorry, not remembering the name). We took a drive to East Hampton and did some shopping. We also went to Sag Harbor to walk around. I would recommend preplanning dinner reservations which I did. We ate at Scarpetta’s and The Mule. There was a small place right in town (walking distance) where we had fish tacos. Our host Ralph was very easy to reach and very responsive. He allowed us to check in early and leave later than checkout time. Of course, it was off season (late April). We had more than enough room so each had our own room. Bathrooms were beautiful.
