Originally the summer retreat of a producer of pasta, there are three buildings; a villa, an employees’ home consisting of two separate dwellings, and a farm (fattoria). In the past few decades these buildings were used as a hotel and hence Prati Piani, to this day, is still known in the neighbourhood as Albergo Prati Piani. The fattoria was formerly run on behalf of the family resident in the villa. When the villa was subsequently converted to a hotel, the products were used in the kitchen of the restaurant that is still widely famous for the quality of its ingredients. In the past, Prati Piani produced honey, wine and cheese. Cattle were raised and trout were bred in a basin in the little river in front of the villa. In the residential part of the building 12 rooms were to let. The fattoria has been recently renovated to a high standard. The stables remain intact and the hayloft of 10 by 12 metres is being rebuilt and has been converted for group/corporate activities e.g. training courses and work shops. Catering, provided by request, can range from a cold buffet to a five course meal. Audio-visual/computer aids (beamer, video, overhead projector, wifi network, broadband internet is also available. Nous étions un groupe de 19 et tout s’est bien passé. Mr smit était incroyablement gentil. La villa est vraiment belle avec plein d’infrastructures à disposition (sauna, piscine, bain nordique, terrain de volley, balançoire, barbecue).Tout était super, nous avons vraiment adoré passé cette semaine ici. les alentours sont magnifiques avec de très beau paysages.l’hôte a été remarquable avec nous et à notre disposition dès qu’on en avait besoin. André is een fijne gastheer die met zorg en toewijding voor je klaar staat. De woonkeuken in de biedt voldoende ruimte voor grote groepen en beschikt over voldoende faciliteiten om zelf te koken. Het huis is uit 1930 en dat is hier en daar te merken, maar deed zeker geen afbreuk aan onze ervaring. Hans en Lydia zijn super lieve en gastvrije mensen. Het huis was perfect voor ons; veel ruimte binnen en buiten. We zijn er regelmatig op uit getrokken met de racefiets. Ook zijn er een aantal schattige dorpjes in de buurt. De supermarkt ligt iets verder weg maar is goed te combineren met een dagje strand. Le camere, la cucina e la sala da pranzo sono sufficientemente grandi e luminose, in particolare noi abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo l’ampio salone per poter stare tutti insieme durante le serate e la piscina riscaldata per dei bei momenti di relax! Abbiamo avuto solo un piccolo problema con i riscaldamenti, ma i proprietari sono intervenuti prontamente e lo hanno risolto in breve tempo. La proprietà è solo un po’ scomoda da raggiungere e non è vicina a nessun supermercato, ma vale la pena di passarci dei giorni anche per staccare dal caos delle città. The house is marvelous and perfekt for big groups and is surrounded by the most beautiful landskape. Our group of 20 people enjoyed our stay to the most and we would love to go back to this house.
