"Do NOT stay at this hotel. We arrived late at night. There were unsavory people hanging around the entrance to the hotel. They were smoking and just vagrant looking. It was after midnight when we arrived. Others in parking lot with cars coming in and out. It was very unsafe so much that we did not feel safe even getting out of the car. We ended up going to a different hotel. They are refusing to refund us even though we never stayed. There are similar reviews in this time frame that have reported the same issues. Expedia needs to remove them from their list. "

"Check in/check out went smoothly. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Asia checked me in and my experience with her was very pleasant and helpful. The parking fee provided a secure environment and in/out at all times. The hotel renovations are very nicely done and appealing. My room was comfortable and hot water, for a change. The in room digital safe was an added bonus (my iPad fit inside). Great location to walk to restaurants, nightclubs, and shops. I will stay at Washington Plaza Hotel again on my next trip to DC. WPH, I wish this hotel would add a Starbucks!!! You got your ears on? lol."

"Staff is very accommodating and helpful! Breakfast and happy hour was great! It was fun to sit at the bar and talk to others on vacation! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable."

"Overall shabby reeked of cigarette smoke smell and minimally clean bathroom - mold is unacceptable. Requested and got a room that did not smell. Housekeeping subpar - trash full, no towels, etc - after room was ‘cleaned’, room door left open."

"no valet staff to park cars and a 25/day charge to self park/ front desk did not inform about any "extras" that might be available and more importantly what was not. such as no coffee in the morning/ instead you had to go into the bar/dining facility and pay for a cup of coffee/ did not inform that after a certain hour the front door was locked and a key card was necessary. overall ok but not great communication"

"3 night stay on property We arrived on Friday night staffing was short and check- in was pretty simple except during the day they seem to be more aware. The room was clean as well as the hotel and good for the price near everything. Breakfast for $10 a person was definitely worth it if you get it on Expedia. Parking was not that great and it was $20 a night. Was a decent day with great amenities and convenient to the main attractions."
