"Beautiful place and people. Frederic is a wonderful host. He allowed early check in and attended to all of our needs. There are stairs to the bedrooms, he carried our luggage up and down. The property vastly exceeds the description and certainty our expectations. There are many châteaux and wineries. Frederic helped us with our itinerary. We would very much love to return."

"We loved our stay at this cute cottage just a few minutes drive outside of Amboise. It is perfectly located for castle sightseeing, away from the busy city but easily accessible. "A real wow location, in a characterful old water mill. A wonderful piece of France, with plenty too see, eat and drink within an easy drive along pot-hole free roads. The Domaine de Cande was especially interesting, the location of the Traitor King's (Edward VIII) marriage to Mrs Simpson by a corrupt clergyman in 1937."

"A lovely converted farm building in a very quiet area. Good range of facilities available and a fantastic pool. We had a lovely time in the surrounding area and good fun on the petanqe piste. Definitely a good choice."

"We absolutely loved this place! Everything was neat and clean, perfectly posh for our family. We loved that we were a little outside of the city but close enough to hop in our rental car and visit the Sunday market and shops. It was our favorite home rental during our stay in France. The owner was gracious and helpful with any questions we had. If we ever get back to Amboise, we will be staying here again!"

"We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"My family and I enjoyed this house and it was great to be able to appreciate the old architectural charm of the building. The outdoor space was perfect for us and was a big plus. The house isn’t right in the city center but we were able to walk or ride bikes into town very conveniently. The only real negative was the checkin and checkout process as the place where we had to pick up and drop off the key was not close by especially if you were in a rush or didn’t have a car. There was also no air...

"The spa/jacuzzi is great and well maintained. The house has a baby cot which is convenient for families with a small child. Countryside quiet location but close to the city of Amboise and very central in the Loire valley."
