"Lovely stay"

"There was a dirty towel in the bathroom when I arrived. It looked like it had been used to wipe a dirty surface. Otherwise everything seemed clean. I did mind the interleading door - I could hear everything the other person in the adjoining room was doing - watching TV, coughing, unzipping something, talking. I think that is not acceptable - if there is an interleading door it should be mentioning when one makes the booking. And you should charge LESS for that room as the noises from the other room impacts on one's stay. The WIFI was atrocious, very patchy. Useless if your stay involves business on line etc! Finally, while I understand that the hotel is older I found the creaking floor boards above and noisy plumbing rather bothersome. All in all, I do not think your rates are justified given all those issues."

"We had a lovely stay here over the weekend. The restaurant is fantastic, we ate here on three evenings and every meal was brilliant- great quality and taste. There is also a lovely breakfast selection as well, the Scottish Brie tastes nicer than French Brie in my opinion! The hotel is spotless and the decor lovely and welcoming. The staff are all so friendly as well. The only tiny point that they could do to improve would be to put more coffee and tea in the rooms each day, they only give you one sachet each per day and a set of random coffee pods which are not marked except by a colour ( we worked out blue was plain water, brown was coffee but not sure what the pink coloured ones were!) this is a minor point though . The hotel is great and we’d stay here again. "

"Great location and views. Be careful not to book the mobility access room by accident if you don’t need it. Rooms lack drawers and desks. I wish there were more places to unpack clothes. Staff was exceptionally accommodating and Ondine was worth a visit for sure."
