The house, which has just been renovated with great care for details, is built on two levels and 350 sqm of total surface. It can comfortably house up to 6 people and is located 1,4km from the heart of Monforte (3 mins by car and 15 mins on foot). The layout includes: A spacious suite on the ground floor, with a separate entrance, and private bathroom with bathub and shower; The Green Room: on the first floor, this panoramic suite includes an en-suite bathroom with shower and a private terrace, facing east; The Pink Room: on the first floor, this large room includes an en-suite bathroom with shower and a private terrace, facing west; All rooms are equipped with king size bedrooms, AC, HDTV and are decorated with historical frescoed ceilings and furniture. Common areas: large and fully-equipped kitchen, dining room for 6/8 guests, living room with HDTV and panoramic windows overlooking the garden, a small bathroom and a laundry room on the two mezzanine floors. The house is fully independent with two gates and is surrounded by a private garden of 500 smq, a large terrace and a covered BBQ area. Panoramic view over the Langhe hills. The 12,00 x 3,60mt heated pool (Seasonal opening) includes a large solarium with sunbeds and beach umbrellas. Facilities : Wi-fi with full coverage both indoor and outdoor, HDTV with streaming tv access in all rooms, AC, high quality bed linens and towels, toiletries, private parking. Central heating. We are located in the Piedmont countryside, in the region of Monferrato, Langhe and Roero, UNESCO sites. The beautiful and breathtaking views from the hills overlooking the vineyards and the hazelnut trees surprise and move our visitors all-year round. Guests may enjoy a variety of sporty, enogastronomic and cultural activities. The millenary borghi attract visitors from Italy and abroad every season. Alba, for instance, well-known for its truffle fair in October, is a small beautiful city where a “donkey palio” also takes place every year. Bra, a small village known for its biennial cheese fair, is closely located to a former royal palace (the Castle of Pollenzo). Cherasco, a village from the 1200s, is a destination of both cultural trips and food visits, as visitors may enjoy some of the most delicious Italian lumache. Furthermore, Asti is the center of the Monferrato region, home to the most ancient Italian palio and still attracts visitors for a variety of cultural and food activities. Going back to the Langa region, Monforte is home to a medieval borgo and is surrounded by the well-known Barolo vineyards. In the background, one can admire the Italian Alps with the beautiful Monviso, get lost around the hills hiking small paths leading to historical churches, go horse-riding or join a tartufaio and their we–known “truffle dogs” looking for tartufi Let’s not forget that the most well-known activity is visiting the old and family-owned cantine and enjoy wine-tasting tours, maybe bringing home some favourite wine bottles and food trophies. The villa was amazing. There was plenty of space for all guests, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and perfectly manicured lawn and pool area. Marco, Lonela and Christian were great to work with and so friendly, especially through our language barriers. Monforte was a perfect location with great restaurants and so many nearby wineries - go visit Giovanni! I cannot recommend this villa enough and hope to be back someday soon. ##### Jim B. The house and property are absolutely beautiful. In fact, the pictures of the house do not give the full impression of how lovely the property is. The pool is beautiful and the entire house and property are maintained in a pristine manner. The villa also is quite close - within a 15-20 minute walk, 2-3 minute drive and 5 minute bike ride to Monforte D'Alba - which is arguably the nicest town in Piemonte - much more charming than Barolo for example - and without the busloads of tourists. The host and staff at Villa Leolo were welcoming, highly responsive and of a great assistance. We have stayed at many properties in Italy and this property was by far our favorite. It is a perfect place to spend time with family and friends - and also is in a great location to visit the beach, mountains, lakes, Turin, Genoa and Milan - all of which are within a few hours drive. We have rated other properties 5 star but we would provide an even higher rating if one was available. We highly recommend Villa Leolo without qualifications of any kind. ##### James M.
