You found it! This amazing waterfront home in one of the best locations on the lake. Three bedroom (1King, 2 Queen), two (renovated) full baths. Home is centrally located to Bridgewater Plaza (less than 1 mile). Conveniently located close to restaurants, grocery stores, boat rentals, shopping, and entertainment. You may also just want to relax and enjoy the many amenities “Dockside Daze” has to offer including a large dock perfectly situated to enjoy sunset views, Tiki bar, multiple outdoor grilling stations (gas and charcoal), flagstone patio firepit and dining area, plus large upper covered porch. Tie-ups available for boat owners/renters plus multiple jet ski floating ramps for your use (jet skis and boats not included but available for rent at many local marinas). House includes kayaks, paddleboat, paddleboard, floats, bocce ball, corn hole, disc golf baskets, ladder ball, and more. High speed internet and Samsung Smart TVs in all bedrooms. Well-appointed kitchen including Keurig pod/coffee pot combination with additional full-size fridge in Tiki bar. High quality bed linens included as well as lake and bath towels. A washer and dryer are available for guest use. For guests who love to cook, our kitchen is stocked with spices galore. Quiet time is 11pm - 8am every day. We have full time neighbors so please be considerate so we don't get a call.

This was our second stay at Dockside Daze, and once again, it was a fantastic week! The house is beautiful and filled with thoughtful amenities that make it feel like home. The yard is spacious—perfect for lawn games and relaxing outdoors. We especially loved the dock and tiki bar area, which is beautifully set up and offers a perfect spot to take in the stunning sunsets each evening. The location is great too—close to plenty of stores, restaurants, and everything you might need.

A little slice of paradise

This place is amazing! Everything is provided (and I mean everything). We loved our weekend here. Very relaxing and extremely comfortable. The view is wonderful - peaceful. The hosts are on top of everything and easily accessible if needed. I highly recommend this property.

Fall vacation

It was a wonderful vacation. The kayaks and paddle board were very convenient. The outside living area was so comfortable and nice with a a beautiful view of the lake. We would definitely stay again.

Great location!

The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. The dock is great, the tiki bar with full fridge- wonderful! The location was perfect, 5 min drive to most anything you need.

Quiet and relaxing

This was the best little getaway! We wanted a relaxing spot to take the kids for a couple days during spring break to relax and fish and this was perfect! The house had everything and the hosts were amazing. We will definitely be back!

Very nice lake vacation house!

The property is very nice, well maintained and set up nice for guest. Very nice location, perfect boat docking setup and well maintain docks. I took a 24' bay boat, dock was perfect for a boat that size. Of the few houses I have rented at Smith Mountain Lake for a few days fishing at other houses in the past, Dockside Daze will now be my go-to for Smith Mountain Lake trips.

Fantastic

We had a fantastic stay. The location is ideal, very close to grocery stores and local eats and shops. The walk down to the lake is easy with plenty of fun things to use. The owners are super friendly and the communication is fantastic. I look forward to staying there again.

Best Rental at SML

We have been vacationing at SML for many years and this was the best rental so far. Loved the location, house had everything you needed and more, clean, best beds ever, and the Dock is amazing! We have now found our yearly rental until we can get a home of our own on the lake. Thank you!

Thanksgiving getaway

This incredibly well stocked, well thought out, well appointed, gorgeous gem of a home was perfect for our small family Thanksgiving. Any kitchen item you might need - there are several to choose from, including the host bringing over a turkey roasting pan so I didn’t have to bring mine. The beds, super comfy with lovely linens included. The property very well taken care off with so many amenities! Could not recommend more/a real treasure in a picture perfect location.

The listing in very accurate and the owners provide everything that you might need during your visit. We are return visitors and noticed that there have been some upgrades from our last visit. Definitely a property to consider if you're looking for a carefree vacation.

Dreamy Getaway on the Lake

This owner is generous with water toys, yard toys, cozy fireplace and blankets. Plush bedding. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Whole family is in love with this rental on Smith Mountain Lake.

Relaxing Paradise

This property was exactly what our family was looking for. The owners were extremely communicative and have made this property all about comfort and leisure. We spend most of our time outside and the ammenities were perfect. The owners have gone above and beyond to make this home about relaxation and leisure. September 9-16, 2024 Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Dockside Daze. They thought of everything, Smart TV's were in every room including the back porch and Tiki Hut. The kitchen was well stocked, don't need to bring a thing. Communication was top notch. The house was beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were up to date. By far this has been one of the best rentals we've stayed at.......thank you Heather and Ken!!

Paradise at the Lake

This is a wonderful home to stay where you feel right at home. Owners have thought of everything! And the lake….lake front to this beautiful lake where there’s the most beautiful view and direct access to the lake. The entire outdoors areas were perfect for our family and our fun filled vacation! Dockside Daze

My family enjoyed our stay! The backyard, deck and dock area is fantastic. The tiki bar is a nice addition. We enjoyed the stand up paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat. We rented a boat and were able to tie up to the floating dock with no problem. I am sure during the summer months it is even more fun to spend hours outdoors there with the provided steps directly to the lake. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again for your hospitality!

April Getaway

The way the owners have the property setup is fantastic. Big TVs, grill, fire ring, bar on dock with TV, etc. Whether you want to lounge in the shade, go out on the lake, or watch the big game it’s setup great. Quality bumpers and cleats on dock to protect your boat. Nice house. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. We’ve been coming to SML for 20 years and this is the best house we have stayed in.

Great stay despite the weather.

We had terrible weather the first two days of our stay, but the house was very cozy and there were plenty of throw blankets for us to snuggle up. The games and puzzles were great! We enjoyed all the TV's and cable access (to watch Penn State win the Big 10 wrestling title). Once the weather improved, we enjoyed the large backyard and the beautiful deck and tiki bar. You can't beat the location. It was our first time at SML and we were glad we were very close to most of the restaurants on the lake.

Has it ALL - look no further!

Stop searching- you’ve found THE perfect spot to vacation! Our first time to SML and Dockside Daze hands down exceeded every want and desire for a fabulous vacation! The family agreed this was our best summer vacation ever out ranking Myrtle abd OBX. The house is just amazing- ample space inside and out, cozy beds, stocked kitchen, great TVs, grills, firepit, close to shops & grocery stores. But that view, the water toys, the tiki bar, the cove…heaven! Cannot thank Heather & Ken enough for their gracious hospitality and entrusting us with their home! We are already planning for 2025!
