GORGEOUS VIEWS: The Fun Spot 2 is a beautifully decorated, lake theme home that sits on an end lot in a quiet cove with deep water and stunning, expansive lake and mountain views. Gorgeous, serene, sunrise views from the dock, patio, or porch are an excellent way to start your wonderful family vacation day! Two hammocks, large stone patio with fire pit and separate fireplace, outdoor dining under a pergola for daytime shade, and a 7 person hot tub to finish off a fun relaxing day of outdoor activities on this large, flat property. Patio kitchen island area includes a gas BBQ, refrigerator, and a two burner stove top as well as a stand alone charcoal BBQ. All you will need to prepare your favorite family meal, while keeping your favorite beverages cool with easy access. Don't forget your Smore's ingredients for the fire pit - Smore's Sticks provided. An additional cozy seating space with fire-pit is found down by the water's edge. Fire wood is provided. If you find that your vacation date at the lake is not available at The Fun Spot 2 or you are planning to hold a special event, you may be interested in The Fun Spot 3 (Property ID# 2041541) which is 2 miles down the road from The Fun Spot 2\. Our goal for The Fun Spot Properties is to provide the ideal venue for your most enjoyable and memorable vacation rental experience at Smith Mountain Lake! OUTDOOR ACCOMODATIONS: There are many comfortable locations to sit and enjoy the lake and mountain views on the spacious wrap around porch. Enjoy meals outside on the patio dining area that seats 10 or at the dining table for 8 on the covered porch. There are five ceiling fans and dimmable lights for day and nighttime outdoor enjoyment. The amazing dock will not disappoint; pictures don't do it justice. This 2,300 sq ft dock offers wifi and a Sonos Stereo System connected to 6 High Performance Bose Speakers positioned overhead, throughout the fully finished dock. The dock also includes recessed lighting, four fans, seating for 20, which includes two comfortable, swinging hammock chairs overlooking the lake. There is an enclosed dock house with a bar top and refrigerator to support your entertainment activities. There are two floating docks to dock your boat and jet skis with recessed cleats, bumpers, and dock buoys.. Large floater is 24' long with water depths on cove end at 13' and shore side end of the floater at 7' when lake is at normal levels. Adjacent to large floater is a 13' fixed dock with two cleats with low water mark of 4' at normal lake levels. Dock has unobstructed, breathtaking, wide, lake and mountain views while situated in a wide quiet cove. Cove is off of the main channel and has minimal boat traffic; you will not want to leave! We have provided our guests with 7 kayaks, one (two person) canoe, three paddle boards, with paddles and life jackets included. There are also multiple floaties and water toys at the dock to enjoy. We hope you enjoy hours of fun on the water and dock as we do! House location is conveniently located 5 minutes from Parkway Marina for easy access to boat rentals and fuel/supplies. HOME DESIGN AND AMENITIES: The home’s main level offers a 2 story family room that has a full expanse of windows that overlook the lake, open eat-in kitchen with large breakfast bar, dining table, and porch/ patio access that also overlook the lake and mountain. The game room with ping pong table and 72" large flat screen, smart TV is a perfect hangout area for all ages! Guests are provided Apple TV and Smart TV to access streaming services ion the 72” flat screen. You will also find a separate gaming station monitor (guest provides the game console) and two game chairs. There is also a two-person game table arcade with 25+ vintage games, including Frogger, Ms. Pac Man, Donkey Kong, and many more of your favorites. There are two en-suite bedrooms on the main floor. The primary bedroom suite (king size bed) has a flat screen smart TV with large, newly renovated bathroom with a jetted tub, double sinks, and an oversized shower. The other en-suite bedroom (queen size bed) has a flat screen smart TV and private bathroom with walk-in tile shower. The eat-in-kitchen has a large breakfast bar with plenty of counter space to prepare your meals. There is a large pantry closet to hold enough food for your small army. Also on this level you’ll find the bunk room/game room. This large room is perfect for kids to call their own. In addition to all the fun and games, you’ll find two sets of bunk beds (all twin size mattresses) with an adjoining full bath There is also a half bath, 2nd refrigerator, and laundry area to complete this level. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms. At the top of the stairs is an en-suite king bedroom with a recently renovated full bath. In this oversized bedroom is a twin size trundle bed. The bedroom has a flat screen smart TV. Down the hallway past a newly renovated full bathroom is the second queen bedroom. It too has a flat screen, smart TV. Linens and towels are provided along with dish and hand soap, and paper towels. Smith Mountain State Park is 2 miles down the road which includes hiking and biking trails, educational center, boat ramp, and much more if additional activities are of interest. There is plenty of room for parking on the circular driveway. This definitely is a Fun Spot and sure to make for the best vacation ever! Between tearing around the lake in our rented boat towing Big Mabel, to kayaking, fishing, or taking the paddle boats out, the water was pristine, warm, and totally refreshing. Their new kitchen was fantastic with enough space for everyone! We unquestionably recommend it for a fun and memorable family experience. ##### Tom W. Comfortable accomodations. Great bunk room/game room for 4 cousins to hang out. Our family of ten, ages 8-73, spent our days on a pontoon boat tubing, going for ice cream and riding the beautiful lake to the boardwalk for the arcade & great pizza. But most of our time was spent at the dock house jumping into the clean water and cooling in the shade. We cooked evening meals on the gas grill and s’mores at the fire pit at night. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with your family this may be the place for you. ##### Jean B. The boat dock along with the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards provided a great variety of water activities for the family and relaxing atmosphere of sitting on the dock early in the morning with a cup of coffee, priceless! The updated kitchen is amazing and very functional when preparing food for the hungry family members. Suggest you provide the option of having the dishwasher running with remaining dishes when leaving rather than having to have dishes dried and put away. Avoids having to hand wash and dry all while packing up to leave on time. ##### Fred R. From start to finish, the experience with this property and host was nothing short of 5 stars. Hurricane Helene had us calling a vacation audible four days before our kids fall break, and kind of found this place by accident. However, we’re so glad we did! Host is super kind, and responsive to questions very quickly, and genuinely wants you to relax and enjoy your stay. The property is beautiful on the listing, but the pictures don’t do it justice - you have to see it in person. Sunrises from the dock with a cup of coffee make you want to get up early each morning! The kids loved the game room and outdoor games, there’s plenty of space inside and out to spread out. It was our first time to Smith Mountain Lake, and already seeing when in 2025 we can return. ##### Chris B. This was our second year at the Fun Spot 2 and we were not disappointed! They remodeled the kitchen since last year and it was absolutely gorgeous. The amenities and the aesthetic are incredibly high-end and luxurious. When we arrived, we noticed that the dryer was out of service. We contacted the property manager and he immediately called me and offered to personally come and pick up any laundry and dry it at his place and bring it back. He was so generous and accommodating to help make our trip fantastic. The dock, outdoor spaces, and location are what really make this our favorite vacation spot on SML. You cannot beat the views from every spot outside, whether that is the hot tub, fireplace, hammocks, dock, or the many paddle boards and kayaks available. When it rains, the inside is equipped with multiple smart TVs, a gaming area, ping pong, and lots of cozy reading spaces. We will definitely be coming back again and again! Our family of 11 (6 kids and 5 adults) enjoyed a terrific fall weekend of relaxation at the Fun Spot 2\. The lake and mountain views from the home are breathtaking! And outdoor spaces and offerings at this home are amazing! The boat house swings and hammocks were cozy places to relax. We enjoyed roasting hotdogs and marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. And the hot tub offered warmth and relaxation after jumping in the chilly lake. The biggest hit of all with our large family were all of the outdoor water toys! My 6 kids had the best time making great use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and canoe. There were more than enough boats, floats and life vests for everyone, which made playing on the water so much fun! The wraparound covered porch on the home was my favorite place to sit and drink my morning coffee as I watched the fish jump in the lake. When the kids arms tired of paddling outside, they came inside for ping pong tournaments. The Fun Spot 2 is aptly named. It absolutely was a SUPER FUN SPOT to to make wonderful family memories at a beautiful location. ##### Heidi B.
