We will meet you at a convenient, agreed-upon time between 4 PM and 8 PM to give you the keys as well as show you the apartment, and introduce you to the neighborhood and to the city of Menton. Our apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (4th floor US way) of a residence dating from the early 1900s. One view is of the sea & a lovely park, and the other is of the French Alps. This makes the apartment quite bright, with a gentle evening breeze, especially during the hot summer months so air-conditioning is not necessary. The windows are double glazed to protect from outside noise. From the living room, you will enjoy both the turquoise sea and the summits of the Alps. As day turns into night, you are treated to spectacular views of the sun and the sea. Our balcony offers the possibility of enjoying meals outdoors on a table with chairs perfect for relaxing at breakfast or in the evening. The awning will protect from midday sun. The bedroom offers a brand-new queen-size bed for comfort. You also will enjoy beautiful vistas from the bed, including the private tiny park of the residence and its exotic plants, as well as the town Elisee Reclus Park.There is also a small desk in the bedroom. The kitchen, facing north, is well equipped with a dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, microwave, regular oven, and induction plate. However, we warn you that you will love the nearby restaurants, bakeries, and convenience stores as they are just a few steps away, so you may not do a lot of cooking. The bathroom has been entirely remodeled, with a brand-new shower, sink, furniture, and mirror. The WC is separate from the rest of the bathroom, European style. You need to go through the bedroom to reach the bathroom and the WC. There is a laundry machine in the apt and also a laundromat conveniently located half a block away for other laundry service. Sheets, tea towels, shower towels and beach towels are included in the rental. Professional laundry fees are asked to be paid cash upon arrival. 2026 PRICE: €130. It is a two minute walk to the Promenade du Soleil, visible from our balcony accross the park, one of the many beaches of Menton. It is a ten minute walk to the ‘rue pietonne‘ and fifteen minute walk from the famous Menton market place. In addition, there are several restaurants and convenient stores close by. The Menton train station is about 700 meters away. Commuting from the Nice airport by train is convenient, fast, and inexpensive. Please feel free to contact us if you need information. There is no parking in the residence, but we can propose an optional parking garage about 400 meters away, should you choose to rent a car. There is a separate charge for this parking garage to be paid upon arrival. Please inform us when booking if you‘ll need the option. Le Balcon d’Elisee owes its name to the Elisee Reclus Park that faces the residence. The park was named in 1927 in honor of the geographer, Mr. Reclus, who gave Menton its internationally famous nickname: Menton, the Pearl of France. The views are charming--the sea on one side and the mountains on another. Very quiet, calm environment--good for working from home or just for vacation. The apartment has everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. The location is great. It is walking distance to everything we needed--convenience stores, restaurants, the beach and the train station (to visit other nearby towns and to go to Italy for the day). It's also a lovely 15 minute walk along the sea to the historic district of Menton. A charming apartment in a charming town. Thank you, Catherine for your suggestions. L’appartement est à côté d’un excellent petit resto qui offre une cuisine comme on aime manger à la maison, avec légumes. Il y a aussi la meilleure boulangerie à 2 pas. Une excellente rôtisserie à 4 pas, où une préposée très serviable et souriante nous offre de bonnes options pour nos repas. Le Spar et la fruiterie nous dépannent très bien et les gens qui y travaillent sont gentils. Excellente pizzeria à 5 pas. Ce qui fait le charme de l’appartement ce sont les vues magnifiques sur la mer et les montagnes que ce soit par les grandes fenêtres de la salle de séjour et de la chambre à coucher, ou de la cuisine et de la salle de bain. Appartement propre, bien meublé. Catherine a fait tout une documentation sur Menton et ses environs et nous explique ce qu'il y a à découvrir de cette région. Depuis le balcon nous voyons la mer à 50 mètres et depuis la cuisine nous avons une belle vue sur les collines. A recommander. ##### Christiane S.
