"We had a wonderful experience at Barefoot Bungalow! The location is fantastic, with beautiful Gulf views and easy access to the beach. The house was spacious and comfortable for our family of nine, and we loved being able to spend time together and enjoy the island.Unfortunately, our vacation was cut short due to a mandatory hurricane evacuation, but what truly stood out was how amazing our hosts, Jason and Carla, were throughout the entire situation. They were incredibly kind, proactive, and communicative, keeping us informed and making our family’s safety their top priority. They also went above and beyond to help us navigate the unexpected early departure and reimbursement process.Although we didn’t get the full vacation we had hoped for, we made some wonderful memories during our time there. We are already looking forward to returning next October!We highly recommend Barefoot Bungalow, not only for the beautiful location and accommodations, but especially for the outstanding hospitality. Thank you, Jason and Carla, for everything!"

"Lovely setting! enjoyed the Bay view from the house and pool. it is a quiet location with plenty of privacy! Also liked the location in that the trip to Mobile or to Dauphin Island was short and easy! went to places we hadnt visited in past visits to the area. House was clean and roomy. Owners responded quickly with any concerns. We would love to return!"

"Picture perfect views and location with so many amenities to maximize the fun on the private pier. The early morning was prime time for fish activity, but soaking bait at any time while relaxing in the shade at the end of the pier was incredibly relaxing."

"We loved our stay at Sol-Mate! The place was clean and decorated in a lovely manner with driftwood, natural woods, shells, and shadow box vignettes of sea life. The bed we slept in was comfortable, and the place was well stocked with whatever you need for a relaxing stay: kitchen pots, pans, dishes, spices; bath towels, extra dish towels, shampoo and soap; extra pillows, sheets, blanket; games, books, cards, DVD’s; and TV with Netflix. Best of all was the dock where we spent a lot of time catching fish and crabs. If you want a place to unwind and just enjoy “sitting on the dock of the bay,” this is the place! Be aware that the upstairs is reached by way of the spiral staircase which is only a problem if you have mobility issues. We are in our 70’s and managed it okay, but I would think it would not be safe for a family with a toddler. We took our pet with us and she loved the place and the bay; we did have to block her away from the staircase for her safety. Communication and check-in was easy!"

"Great home for the money! Very clean and great amenities! Spacious and comfortable. Living room furniture is nice and comfy. The beds were very comfy as well. Great porch and under house hang out areas. Very short walk to the beach. The surrounding restaurants on Dauphin Island were very close and were a lot of fun. Will be back and would stay at this home again."

"First off I want to say this was my first time staying in an RV so in case your a newbie like me and maybe plus sized as well I would like to say a few things the tub is pretty much the size of a large storage tote and the bathroom the size of a small closet BUT that's all RVs so it's standard as for the rest it was surprisingly roomy and beautiful it was comfortable and after a 10 hour drive I was HOT and expected it to be unbearable but a fresh blast of cold air hit us and I fell in love the camper is beautiful and roomy and perfectly decorated and stocked I could go on and on we went on to stay in a four bedroom house the rest of the week and my kids asked to go BACK to the RV lol love love love it will be back."
