"The house was clean and inviting. Our communication with host was outstanding. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of items that we needed for cooking. The access to the beach was an easy stroll. We enjoyed time spent on the swings under the house and the rockers on the wrap-around porch. We had a great stay and would love to visit again!"

"I have stayed at several properties over the years, and Soul Surfing has always been one of the best. Great location on the west end of Dauphin Island, you can see the bay out the back door and see the Gulf out the front. Quiet location, great place to take the family.I found the whole rental process very easy, and the management company is great to work with, very responsive every time I had and inquiry."

"Pro: Clean, comfortable indoors. Nice open layout. Kitchen was well- equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms met our needs. Great views. We enjoyed watching the barges on the intracostal and all the sea birds. The gulf- side beach was a quick, short walk to a very nice area of the beach. Location of the house was convenient and neighborhood was quiet.Con: For us, a beach house needs to be as comfortable outside as inside. The listing highlights a screen porch which doesn't exist. What was a screen porch now has no screens and is dominated by a large picnic table. The other two decks are large and spacious but had only four chairs and three cushions. The screen porch area is the only outdoors with a roof over it. The other two porches have no cover/shade. It's the lack of comfortable outside space that makes this property four stars for me. If the renter mostly stays indoors or on the beach, this is a very nice property.. The listing"

"We had a wonderful stay at Beach Break. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We also had the opportunity to watch movies during a stormy morning which was cozy and great! Dauphin Island is a gem and we will gladly return!"

"Overall, we were very pleased with staying here. The house front door window, kitchen flooring, and front and back decking could use a little TLC but the house was quite clean and well kept otherwise. Thankfully, we read in the description that they provided limited supplies, so we packed our own. It would have been nice if they at least provided one coffee serving per day rented but not a huge deal. The beds and pillows were very comfortable; we all slept great! The beach front rooms have very sheer curtains which offered little privacy and let the daylight in with sunrise. The heated pool and hot tub were enjoyed throughout the stay. We all agreed we would definitely rent this house again; great location and good accommodations at a reasonable price compared to similar houses on the island. We even got to watch dolphins our first day out the front and back windows!! Lots of Terns, Pelicans, and Gulls daily, too."
