Very friendly and helpful staff, some of them standout so much that I needed to learned their names to mention them in review... Katia, ( always gave a kind word for my daughter and made her feel at home by noticing her pattern of food, my daughter doesnt speak italian), Enza ( she was on the top of our food arrangements) 2 men called Vito, very helpful and they made the best coffees. We were extremely please with the room as it had 2 toilets/shower rooms and our room had a balcony with sea view to died for.... I cant wait to go in Summer. Best deal, it is to rent a car, as this place is 11 minutes from the mains places.

Shabby, uncaring staff & not value for money
There is no way this is a 4 star resort. More like 1-2 stars. This place has no soul, no atmosphere and even its staff come across like they don't want to be there. Where do I start ...so many issues - it's outdated and shabby. See pic of couch with tape used to hold it together. Furniture is at least 50 yrs old and not good. Also a flimsy stupid collapsing shower thing. - I got food poisoning from their dinner buffet (i thi k it was the fish), they didn't care, didn't apologise, didn't ask if I needed anything. Just left me vomiting and with diarrhea all alone in my room. Cold and heartless. And it's in an isolated location so I could not get help or go to a pharmacy without a car. - there staff don't seem to like working there, particularly reception staff who are cold, robotic, inflexible and uncaring about customers. Or maybe they just don't like foreigners from outside Italy... - not value for the nightly price. Definitely not a 4 star hotel even though priced as. - dreadful wifi, it drops out every 2 mins and didn't work for two nights. Again, reception staff didn't care. - the red and white wine they had on tap was like drinking acid. Sacrilege fir southern Italy where there are some beautiful low cost wines. But again this hotel doesn't care about its customers experience and just buys the nasty less than cheap product. Sadly people drink it because there is no other choice as the resort is isolated id dont have car. Dont waste your money here.

This is a good place for people coming there on car. There is a shuttle running every hour to Polignano a Mare, but they have a breake between 12 and 3pm. On Sundays there are no shuttles or even taxis at all.

It was perfect for families had a lot of activity for kids . It was cute kids dance with adults until 12 am. Had Dj . People to entertain the kids. If you would like a Authentic Italian resort experience . The only thing I didn’t like was to make reservations for the two. Restaurants that was always filled but if you manage to get up early that should be ok all together we had a great time .

The area was more than amazing however the resort was a little disappointing. I booked this place mainly to suit my 18month toddler butt there were absolutely nothing for her to do there. The one pool which was open was freezing cold and although the restaurant service was nice and staff were great there was no catering for kids. The food was acceptable but very repeatative.

Totally overpriced for what it is. Not to the usual 4 say standard. Rooms need updating & beds are AWEFUL, rock hard!! Caters hugely to German/French/Italian clients, sometimes some of the staff appeared offended when we spoke to them in English. Very good for young families & the very mature, not a couples resort. Although reception staff & some bar staff spoke English, if you struggle with the Latin language, you may struggle at times with communication. All inclusive is still restricted to set times for meals & snacks. Buffet was hit & miss. Would've expected food to be more authentically Italian but only experienced that on some days. A great asset to the resort is the frequent shuttle into Polignano, fab to get into the main town to do things as nothing around hotel. Their driver Yari is fab, gave us great tips & information. If you want to do sightseeing excursions, unless there is a min. of 4, you can't go, we missed out on the caves & we ended up sorting our own tours. It's beach is not really a beach, to get into the sea you have to obstacle over rocks & sharp stones, did not bother in the end which is a shame as that's the whole reason we chose this hotel. Would advise booking a taxi from the airport to the resort as no other way to get there the nearest station is in the main town - Bari Airport Transfer were really good & reasonable. The resort did grow on us daily, we made the most of our stay & over all did enjoy ourselves but just felt we over payed for it all

Beach resort, all inclusive, almost perfect but...
Hotel and the facilities(beach, pool, spa) were what you'd expect from all-inclusive resort. Food was good, however selection of wines was terrible. If you are not interested in evening events(concerts/dancing), prepare to have earplugs to fall asleep as loud music penetrates all the buildings even with doors and windows closed until 1am. The most disappointing was the quality of wifi signal. It only worked well on the beach but was very spotty everywhere else. Don't want this to sound more negative than it was, so overall we were satisfied, but with a few things that could have been better for a resort like this one.

Good value for price. Beach (with rocks) few minutes walking, many pools; however the biggest were not open yet in May. Great Spa, staff very friendly. They had also a corner for baby food which was well organised. To improve: food quality (not always very good); warm pool would be great when the weather is not good enough for the beach or external pool; families with buggies should not have room to access by stairs.

the AI option is not good. No diet drinks, only soda from a pump. All prose I or wine served in thimble plastic glasses, but when you pay you get a glass champagne flute! No cocktails, or little extras. Pizza was always cooked and left on bar for you to help yourself, but obvs cold.

Great holiday!
I stayed a week at Pietrablu with my husband and my 18 months old son. I would highly recommend this resort to anybody with children. The premise is very kids friendly and they have a lot of facilities to accommodate children needs. There is a mini club, children pools, playground and also nursery room to prepare baby's food. We had a very spacious room, with a very comfortable double bed, a cot for our litte one, big toilet with shower and also a sitting room. The room was very well located right at the centre of the resort, very close to bar, pools and restaurant. The food during the main meals at the restaurant was very good and we also have been spoiled throughout the day with snacks, such as lovely fresh fruit or amazing pizza and drinks. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Polignano a Mare, which is absolutely gorgeous! The staff at the reception helped us to rent a car and we managed to visit Alberobello, Ostuni, Monopoli and Conversano, wich are all not to far from the resort. It was a fantastic holiday...shame we couldn't stay longer!

we stayed at this hotel as we headed from Brindisi to Rome and used it for a two night waypoint. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Great value, good facilities for families and above all things the Italians are amazingly friendly and welcoming...

Good resort hotel
Having planned our nine day stay beforehand, the resort was ideally placed to visit a variety of fascinating locations: Alborobello, Castel del Monte, Matera and Lecce. It was disappointing that the resort had no sandy beach. The hotel could be better signposted from the motorway. We have to say the standard of Italian driving was hair-raising at times, and we were lucky to survive when a lorry drove straight into our lane from the sliproad on the outskirts of Bari. The Sicily by Car hire office at Bari Airport was a shambles, and it took a wait of 50 minutes to get the key. We reckon some people - several with young children - would have to wait up to three hours, such was the size of the ever-lengthening queue. The travel itinerary worked out by Expedia featured three flights: Leeds/Bradford to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Milan and Milan to Bari - but it all worked out very smoothly. One of our two cases arrived a day late.

This is truly a wonderful resort. Mom and I spent 12 days at Pietrablu last year and returned this year for the last week of our trip to Italy. The grounds are lovely and well manicured, pool crystal clear, beach area clean (although rocky as is most of the coast here), the staff could not be more accommodating, warm and welcoming -- they make us feel like family! Thank you Pietrablu for another unforgettable vacation experience!

a resort that lives up to its hype
My mom and I traveled to Italy to do some family ancestry research in the area as well as see the sights this part of Puglia had to offer. Pietrabu made our stay that much more enjoyable in every way. The grounds are beautiful, the room clean and spacious, the staff amazingly cordial, pleasant and truly made our stay outstanding! From reception, to restaurant wait staff, housekeeping, and management -- thanks for making our stay so welcome. I kind of wished the resort was a little closer to the town of Polignano a Mare but transfers were easy to arrange and reasonable. Definitely on my "A" list.

A very enjoyable holiday. We loved the the pool, food and staff. We were the only english at the time and the staff were amazing. even if they they couldn't speak english they would try to communicate & were very supportive in teaching a few simple Italian phrases for us to use during our stay. We will definitely tag this hotel as a must visit again...

It was a very nice place to stay. Not a fan of the hard beds but the room overall was spacious and clean. It is a little hidden and hard to find when driving to. Once we arrived we really didnt have the need to leave as all meals were included they even had a night show.

Personnel excellent qui essaye de faire son maximum. Restaurant exceptionnel et personnel du restaurant rarement aussi efficace et sympathique. Propreté au top et chambre grande pour une famille de 4. Par contre l’hôtel est vieillissant. Notre chambre était au dessus du spa. La climatisation du spa était bruyante. La salle de sport se résume à 4 appareils hors d’usage. Le spa ne donne pas envie. Les matelas pour les enfants étaient durs malgré tous les efforts du personnel excellent. Rien au alentour, bord de mer pas du tout praticable avec des enfants. Un grand merci au staff pour leur gentillesse! À conseiller pour un séjour en été

Het resort zou voor het mooie helemaal gerenoveerd moeten worden. Kamers zijn gedateerd, douche heeft zijn beste tijd gehad. Voor kinderen is het strand niet beschikbaar ivm rotsen. Ontbijt en avondeten is echt een magere 6, niet wat je van Italië mag verwachten.

Villaggio non grandissimo ma molto piacevole, il personale e gli animatori sono sempre stati disponibilissimi ad ogni richiesta e sempre molto simpatici. Cibo molto buono con molto pesce e con anche piatti particolari. Peccato per la spiaggia rocciosa che non è molto utilizzabile specialmente dai bambini… alla fine siamo sempre stati in piscina

Positiv.:Das personal in allen Bereichen überaus freundlich, flott und zuvorkommend. Unsere suite groß und sauber. Das buffett reichhaltig, das essen sehr gut. Für jeden was dabei. Negativ: bei offenen Fenster hört man die schnellstrasse. Das ambiente im speisesaal nicht sehr einladend, vor allem am Wochenende, wo sehr viele italienische familien hier waren sogar etwas hektisch.
