"We have indeed had to change our plans based on our experience on arrival at the Golden Door in Gaborone. We were shown to the room called "Pearl" which with a quick look round showed it to be unclean. There was a general damp smell about the room. The mirror sliding wardrobe door had a crack down its full length. There were dirty marks on the sliding door to the bathroom, matchsticks and dirt in the carpet and a general lack of care. In the bathroom we found a finished toilet roll with a new...

"The staff was great during my stay. Always smiling and willing to help. The food was very good quality and tasty. The breakfast which was included had some variation, but being a person who loves breakfast, it checked all of my boxes. The staff would see me coming and start my eggs and cooking my bacon crispy. The location was great, five minutes to Field mall and ten minutes to to the Three Chiefs Monument.I could go on and on about the location, but the area is very safe."

Best hotel staff ever!

"We’re on bicycles visiting from Australia. The staff were welcoming and incredibly helpful ( especially Chubu , sorry for the spelling) Everyone went out of their way to solve an issue that arose and we were overwhelmed by all the help we received. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was fantastic catering for our intolerances . Highly recommend this hotel."
