Perfect Kailua Vacation at Ka Hale Lai-House of Serenity-pool and spa.

"I rented this property for a big family group vacation and there were many things to love and a few to improve. We absolutely loved the property layout with the number of bedrooms, the separate primary bedroom suite, pool, hot tub, plumeria trees and quiet neighborhood. The property was obviously a former converted family home and it felt updated but still retro in a charming way. It’s a beautiful place with lots of room to hang out communally and relax. What needs improvement are the amenities and some details that should be addressed considering the cost of the place. Note that some of these things were eventually resolved after communication with the host and that was appreciated. However, other things are just fundamental features that I recommend the host invests in for future groups. The resolved items were a lack of sufficient toilet paper, paper towels & laundry pods for the week long stay. The unresolved items were the over flowing trash that wasn’t picked up as scheduled, old stained pillows (inside the covers) & old stained carpet in the living room, as well as a missing toilet paper dispenser in one bathroom. There also wasn’t a coffee grinder or many functional kitchen tools like a full set of measuring spoons, a working ice dispenser & decent chopping knives. One exterior kitchen door also doesn’t lock. I think the host could fix all these things with a minimal investment and for the price they owe it to renters."

"Beautiful B and B! The hostess was amazing! 10 minute walk to beautiful castle beach. We were provided with every beach essential you could imagine. The location is wonderful. 10 minute drive to near perfect lanikai beach. Lots of yummy food in downtown Kailua. Breakfast was assortments of fruits and yogurts that was included in our stay. Thank you so much Shannon.🤗"

"The house is indeed huge and was great for our party of eight couples. It has all the supplies you need. A very well equipped kitchen. Lots of beach towels and even extra sunscreen. The pool was lovely and outdoor dining worked great for our large group. One note, the 8th bedroom is attached to the 7th and you walk through the bedroom to get to the shared bathroom. This wasn't great for 2 couples. We moved the twin beds down to the gym to make the 8th bedroom. Not perfect, but worked to give the couples privacy. The walk to the beach is around the corner and down a beach path, not just down the street as you might imagine from the map."
