Ideally placed for touring the area, Edinburgh and Glasgow are 50 miles, spectacular St Mary’s Loch, 30 miles, and the Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall is just 10 miles away, while Drumlanrig Castle, near Thornhill is within easy reach. This cottage was just what we needed for a weekend visiting family. It was very cosy and extremely well equipped with a beautiful view of a red acer in the courtyard.While slightly out of the town centre, it meant a good walk for my dog to visit relatives or the local shops. There are also lots of other beautiful walks nearby and around the town. Only a ten minute walk into Moffat which had a lot to offer for a small town. The surrounding area is great for walking and exploring. There were just a couple of small issues which when mentioned to the owner we were assured they would be addressed .
