"We were very happy with the staff and the condition of the room. Nice and close to the beach. Walked there in about 5 minutes. Best hotel we have stayed at considering the many times we have visited. The only negative thing about the hotel was no breakfast with my stay like most hotels."

"We booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Unfortunately, our dining experience at the High Tide restaurant was disappointing. From the hostess who seated us to the uncomfortable low seating at our table, everything felt subpar. The food had no flavor at all, especially when compared to their sister property, Bernardus, in Carmel Valley—there’s simply no comparison. On a positive note, the pool and staff at the hotel were excellent and very accommodating. However, while the room was decent, it did not justify the additional price we were charged for our two-night stay."

"This property was wonderful. We stayed for a family gather of 10 aging from 81 to 20. Space for all to dine together, or grab a few quiet moments away. Location was excellent, right on the ocean with a wonderful view. We all hope to return again."

"The location is the biggest asset of this home—it’s so stunning and hard to beat. For 4 couples this rental worked out well. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. We loved being able to walk to the Swift Street breweries and restaurants and Marianne’s ice cream on Fair Ave was such a treat. Everyone agreed we’d love to stay here again!"

"The house is small but cozy with lots of natural light. The second half bath and shower outside was a welcome surprise. Some things that we missed was a barbecue, and an umbrella to provide shade. Inside there isn’t a microwave but there is space for one. There was a tiny pot and a huge pot. A medium pot would have been nice. We used the instant pot. A medium cutting board would have been good too. The location is really convenient to the Safeway, Garfield playground and to the Westcliff bike path. The boardwalk and pier is a short drive away."

"The Beachnest in Santa Cruz was the perfect rental for our family trip to the coast. The property is located just 2 blocks from the beach in a very peacful and quiet neighborhood. The backyard space was amazing and allowed for games, meals and hanging out. There are bikes, sand toys, and games which really make the stay more enjoyable. Plenty of activities, beaches and coastline to explore just down the road. Highly recommended. Keep in mind there is a 400 tourism charge from the local government that may or may not be disclosed up front, but after spending time in this beautiful part of the California coast, it's understandable."
