When we turned onto the street it’s on, the feel was industrial and downtrodden. The motel just in front of Comfort is lit up with neon Christmas decor… in March. In the lobby, things looked alright and our room wasn’t “dirty” but everything was “worn”. There were some stains on the couch and the carpet was matted. All of the bed and bath linens were clean, which is probably most important, so I did appreciate that. The breakfast was so sad. There was very little fresh fruit (aside from some little schoolboy apples), and there was no milk or milk alternatives for the coffee. We ended up going to a cafe for decent coffee and food. Staff was polite and helpful, which— again— is important and appreciated. I just felt the overall vibe was sad and far from what I’d expected." There was rotting food, a half smoked cigarette butt among other items in the drawer. The room did not smell good and it was questionable that the linens had been changed. By the time we got back to our room after the event we went to and discovered this it was late and I was so grossed out i slept on top of the blankets and barely got any sleep that night. Was hoping the hotel would offer a discount but they said nothing and i was charged full price for that night. Im never going back there. Disgusting. I will gladly pay more money to stay somewhere that's clean and doesn't have brown bananas and stale hard donuts being served at breakfast. Very dissapointing.
