"We absolutely loved our stay at the Celeste! If you're tired of cookie-cutter hotels and want to stay somewhere that actually has character, this is it. The building is a beautifully restored former convent/music conservatory, and they did an amazing job keeping the historic charm while still making the rooms comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The staff was wonderful, the hotel was gorgeous, and breakfast in the old chapel was such a unique experience. The location is also great for exploring downtown St. Paul. Now, because I'm me, I obviously had to Google whether a 100+ year-old former convent was haunted. I didn't find anything convincing, but shortly afterward THREE very well-fed gray pigeons appeared outside our window about three feet away and proceeded to sit there cooing. Were they ordinary downtown St. Paul pigeons? Probably. Were they three former nuns checking to make sure we were enjoying our stay? I cannot confirm or deny. Either way, they were polite and caused no problems. In all seriousness, Celeste is one of those hotels that becomes part of the trip instead of just being somewhere you sleep. Beautiful, historic, comfortable, unique, and memorable. We would absolutely stay here again—and apparently, we already have friends on the outside."

"Nice hotel in a good location. The room was clean and refreshed daily. The room service was good and the staff were all friendly. The coffee bar in the morning was especially nice. No street noise at night and the valet parking was easy."

"What a beautiful home! We stayed here with friends and we loved how much space we had. Each room felt like we had our own private space and yet plenty of space to gather together in the dining and sun room. Kitchens were well stocked (yes, there are two kitchens) and we also enjoyed the access to the arcade in the basement. The owners were very responsive with their communication and even let us check in an hour early which was very kind of them. Highly recommend this beautiful home!"
