Second floor upscale two-bedroom, one office/sunroom condo located in the East Bde Maka Ska neighborhood in South Minneapolis with outdoor cedar SAUNA. We are a 2 minute walk from Lake Bde Maka Ska (formerly Calhoun). You will have the entire upper floor condo to yourself. This charming and updated duplex has the historical build of an early 1930's Tudor home with a fully renovated finish with modern updated appliances for your ultimate comfort. Open floor plan and the ultimate kitchen. Sunroom/office is perfect for working.

Guests will have complete access to the entire 2nd floor unit. The second floor unit is over the lower (owners) unit.

I can be available, or invisible, for the entirety of your stay. Do NOT hesitate to reach out, even if you can't find some smaller item. I want to make sure your stay is comfortable. I also have a co-host to make sure we are super responsive. Messaging through VRBO app is best, but texting or phone works too!

The East Bde Maka Ska neighborhood is a small pocket between the end of hennepin avenue and Lake Bde Maka Ska. It is beautiful to walk and most east/west cross-roads lead right to the lake-walk path.

You can walk, bike, bus or drive easily around the neighborhood. There is plenty of free on-street parking in front of the house.

• Check-In: contactless check-in is easy! You will be sent a code via this message thread and your mobile phone on the day of your arrival. The code will give you access to the front door. The code will work for the entirety of your stay.

• Check-Out: Check-out is 11am. If you would like a late check-out and/or an early check-in we will do our best to accommodate, but may be limited on cleaning schedules.

• Parking: Free On-Street Parking out front (We have never had an issue with finding parking).

• Laundry: ONLY Available for stays that are 7 days or longer (located in basement), otherwise not available.

• Outdoor Cedar Sauna is shared with lower resident with a system to notify each other if sauna is occupied.

• We have a RING video doorbell at the front entrance. We have a RING alarm system which will be disabled except for the back door, during your stay. The Google Nest can record audio but the voice feature can be deactivated or it can be unplugged

• NON-SMOKING: Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind (cigarettes / marijuana) on the property. Walk all the way to the sidewalk/street to smoke. If we receive any complaints or find that you have smoked in the unit we will impose a $1000 excess cleaning fee.

• NO PARTIES: Absolutely NO PARTIES of any kind. If we receive any complaints or find that you have had a party, we will impose a $1000 excess cleaning fee.

• NO Kids

• NO PETS: Absolutely NO PETS of any kind.

• Respectful noise levels from 10pm-7am to respect downstairs unit (same rules for them)

Cute and Cozy Rental Near Beautiful Lake
I rented this for a month in February. David was helpful and responsive as a host. He lives on the main level below this upstairs apartment. I found the furnishings to be cozy and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. I loved that there were live plants in the unit. Access was simple with a digital code. There is a laundry room in the basement of the house. I was pleased with my stay but felt there were just a few issues to note. I felt this unit was vacant for a while due to bugs, debris, and cobwebs, especially under the radiators. I bought cleaning supplies to clean these areas. Many of the drawers had debris and I wasn't able to clean or vacuum them due to the vacuum being broken. The shower is tricky to turn the knobs and get the temp just right due to old, sticky pipes. One bedroom light did not work, which was disclosed prior to my stay. I am not sure if they have been fixed, but there was a bedside lamp to use. The apartment gets good light during the day and is located close enough to the lake for a nice walk on the walking paths. The layout and space felt spacious with good flow. It is close to a large cemetery with impressive gravestones. I personally like cemeteries, so the location felt great to me. It is close driving distance to some cute restaurants and coffee shops. Access and location were ideal if you want to be in a cute lakeside neighborhood near the city center. Overall, this was a great rental, and I would stay here again and recommend to friends.
