![The incredible view of Mt Rainier and beautiful Mineral Lake from the shore. Mineral Lake is known for being the home of the 10 lb trout!
 This is located on the south-western side of the mountain and is a great day trip from the Seattle area. There is a boat launch and campgrounds at the lake, one only accessible by boat that is, by-word-of-mouth, unbeatable with a view of the mountain. A lovely place to spend some time visiting.
There is also a historic lodge (with this view) nearby that is available to stay in.

"The house was adorable on the inside and had everything we needed. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of some safety issues with the stairs. The steep stairs to the attic lack a handrail and the older members of our family didn't feel comfortable going up there. I was nervous about our 2 kids going up and down those stairs as well. The 2 sets of steps leading from the kitchen and dining room into the living room are scary too. The second step is short and the edge is curved making it...

"My wife and I stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cabin is welcoming ans cozy, with a thoughtful and modern design and plenty of amenities. We especially appreciated the supplies in the kitchen, and the little reading nook stocked full of books and games, perfect for little ones. The hot tub was great, and very relaxing to sit in and listen to the rain fall around us. We would definitely consider coming back."
