"I really used to like this hotel as its in a beautiful location. I won't go back unless they buck there ideas up, check in was 4pm, room not ready after driving for 5 hours, no bar open and it's miles away from Inveraray, 5pm given a room key and found out it hadn't been cleaned. Bar opened 5pm my husband got me a drink and manager or owner (he turned up about 16.50 ) said by the time we had the drink our alternative room would be ready. We were not the only ones waiting at least another 5 or 6...

A lovely stay. Helen was warm and welcoming on my arrival. The room and en suite bathroom were exceptional and the addition of a small fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water was a lovely touch. A great room in a fantastic location. Absolutely superb service by all the staff that we came across. We were, however, disappointed by the truncation of the menu - no beef/venison on the main menu - and we had been so looking forward to trying both. The staff told us that this was because the hotel was about to shut down for the winter. Such was the rest of our experience during this stay, we will be back next year, hopefully with beef and venison restored to the menu.

Made to feel very welcome right from the start with friendly, helpful staff who were also very professional. Standard of accomodation was excellent. The hotel itself was warm and inviting with an open fire in the hall and the views from the dining room were quite superb. Beautiful grounds which would make the hotel a stunning venue for a wedding.
