A beautiful compact one bedroom cottage. Everything you need for a short break was there including excellent fixtures and fittings. Very quiet and peaceful, would recommend.
Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Perfect for couples as a getaway with easy access to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Buttermere in just over and hour and a lovely pub with good food a 2 min walk away.
We were not disappointed lovely and cosy. Shower was nice and hot, it had all the kitchen amenities to make our stay comfortable. The bed was also comfy. We would highly recommend Pear Tree Barn.
Had a lovely stay here, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. If you want to eat at the pub next door book in advance as it gets very busy.
We enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Barn. The cottage was very well equipped and super clean. Parking very convenient right outside. Would have loved to stay longer next time.
A beautiful perfect barn conversion for 2 people equipped with everything you need. A relaxing place to come home to after a busy day in the Lakes with a neighbouring hotel restaurant (book early).
Absolutely loved this cottage! Its small and cozy, just as described! Clean, very modern with everything we needed! The pub is literally next door, great food and lovely country vibe! Would recommend if you are looking for a cozy stay for two! Will definitely book again! Xx
The house is small but had everything we needed to make it perfect. The owner has thought of everything to make our stay a home from home and the location was ideal for everywhere we wanted to visit plus there’s a hotel next door that does lovely meals but you have to book in advance because it’s very popular. Really enjoyed our stay.
Had another lovely relaxing weekend at pair tree. Found another pub which is only a 4 minute drive and serves fantastic food. Called the strickland arms.
Really lovely cosy space with everything you need. Well kept and really clean. Great access to Kendal and surrounding area.
Emma the host responded promptly to my questions and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Love the Pear Tree Cottage. The host was very friendly and answered all our questions. Property was easy to find. Loved the cat. Clean and comfortable.
Once again Emma provided us w8th all that we could have asked for, from booking out atay to communication throughout until we arrived. The accommodation is just ideal for what we wanted and remembered from last year. We can see she's been pottering about in the garden, the smells are amazing and add to the overall atmosphere of the property...until next year, thanks again Emma x
Just spent a wonderful weekend near the Lakes,
Pear Tree Barn,
Fantastic location for getting around, lovely canal walk, amazing pub 2 mins away from Barn.
Pear Tree Barn, wonderful place to stay.
You can sit and watch the birds whilst having a glass of Fizz,
So much character in the Barn, everything you need for a cosy stay.
Thankyou Emma.
We will be back
As others have noted, the actual barn is both small, and definitely no longer a barn!It is beautifully finished, perfect for a couple. Everything needed was available for the chef, the little patio area was delightful, magnolia in flower, lots of bees and birds...We will absolutely fine back. Suits us perfectly.
what a lovely place! quiet with ample necessities walking distance from the pear barn. theres a bus that runs M-F into the bigger nearby towns or taxi service if you come without car (as i did). a car makes stuff way easier though. inside was super clean, quiet and had everything i could think to need. thank you so much for a fab stay!!
For a small building, the layout is good and high quality fittings, too. We used it primarily as a touring base. Specific comments: the bed was really comfortable; could do with bigger bath towels; no spare washing up cloths or tea towels. The shower is electric and works well, but when you are used to a power shower . . .
