Kate's Guest House "Hidden Retreat"

  • Our guest house is a fully furnished 5 bedroom house located in a small town in the middle of Amish Country. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby for your enjoyment. A swimming pool, playhouse, swingset, and lots of room outside to sit and relax on the patio beside the pool. Two of the bedrooms lead out to a balcony.

    The kitchen has a sliding door out to a deck. The family room has a wood burning fireplace, built in bookcases with lots of books and magazines, a TV and sliding doors leading out to a screened in porch. We also have an office with a desk and a couch that opens up to a bed which would give sleeping room for two more people. The dining room has a large table, ideal for groups, and also a smaller table w/4 chairs.

Kate’s property was wonderful. The pool was a hit with all 7 of us. There was plenty of room to enjoy all of our activities indoors too. So glad we were able to come stay at this delightful place. Hope to return again soon!

Spent a long weekend here with my kids and grandkids..everything about our stay was amazing!!! The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the house! We would 100% recommend this rental. Kate is wonderful to work with and very quick to respond when messaged! We will definitely be back next year!

Great Family Trip!

We had a great time at the house! We had 3 of our 5 grown kids and 4 of our 6 grandkids with us (15 years to 17 months). Everyone loved the pool and the space we had to be together or be apart if we wanted was great! The house was clean and had everything we needed during our stay! Not too far from shops or restaurants too! Our oldest grandson is already trying to plan our trip back!!

Large Home Perfect For Family Time

Our family of 6 adults and 5 children had a wonderful weekend at Kate's Weekend Retreat. This home is huge and was a wonderful home away from home. We enjoyed time away from the city and enjoyed the wonderful country views. The pool and outdoor spaces allowed for our family to relax, play, and just enjoy each other. Beautiful property, great pool

My siblings and families gather for a week every year at different rentals. This house was perfect for us. Well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. So much indoor and outdoor space to gather or find a quiet corner. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was enjoyed by all and the pergola added a great shaded area. Kate was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this house and will likely be back.

3 Day piece of Heaven

I truley cannot say enough about our stay here! The House was just amazing and Katy and her daughter that helps her mom with the house were both amazing as well so very nice!! This house is very warm and welcoming very clean!! The pool was the kids fun and the shopping is all very close and Amish working the land right beside the pool kids loved every once of our stay here ! The Smarties~

Beautiful experience

My family loved this place so much and we all want to return! The flow of the house offers the chance to visit and enjoy one another’s company while still maintaining their privacy as it is sprawling! There are several areas to congregate and socialize or get away and read! We swam in the pool which was fabulous and enjoyed the outdoor space as well. I can’t say enough about the kindness that was shown to us by Kate! Thanks so much! My little family needed that trip!

So Much FUN!

This is in the heart of Amish Country. The house is extra Large and decorated beautifully. The cleanliness was impeccable. Everyone had a room and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is large and there are several seating rooms and an outdoor screened in porch There was a Ninja coffee maker and the kitchen was well stocked with tableware.. The owner was so great and easy to talk with she was truly concerned about potential problems ( none ). It was hot so the pool was cleaned daily and the kids were in it most of the day. The kids reined in age from 15yrs.to 10 months and they had a blast falling asleep exhausted. According to the reception book many repeat familys and groups IMO that is a sign of a good host and facility.
