Wonderful Stay

Gary’s place was true to the photos and description. We were welcomed with a note and flowers and frig essentials to get us started. The kitchen was well appointed and the entire place welcoming. The location is awesome with so much in walking distance.

Amazing Location!

You cannot beat the location of this apartment, just steps away from everything. The apartment itself was very nice and cozy. It was the perfect place for us during our stay. I would stay here again if I needed to be back in the Bay Area for work.

Perfect Spot in Mill Valley

This location was so great for our group. We appreciated how easy it was to check in and check out and felt very taken care of! So much around the property to explore while still being on a quiet street for sleep and early mornings. You can tell the unit takes pride in hosting and we had everything we needed for a stocked kitchen. I appreciate it when it has some essentials about not bare bones!

Perfect In Every Way

We felt welcomed before we even arrived at this property and the entire stay was perfect from start to finish. Situated in an ideal location, it was very clean, comfortable and easily accommodated our family of four with lots of space for cooking, eating and relaxing. The property is within easy walking distance of a large selection of restaurants, shops and hiking trails and perfectly situated for trips to San Francisco and surrounding sights. I cannot recommend staying here enough, it has given us lovely memories for years to come.

downtown Mill Valley

The location of this property could not have been better. We were there for a wedding at the Outdoor Art Club which was just steps from the apartment. The host was amazing through out the stay and leading up to our stay. There is a cute little outdoor patio which the host was gracious enough to let us use for a rehearsal dinner. The apartment was spacious, cozy and clean. I can't wait to go back

Had everything we needed, short walk to local restaurants. Interior stairs are a little arduous, outdoor stairs are easier with bags. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean.

Awesome location!

Gary’s adorable apartment was perfect for our visit to the delightful village of Mill Valley. Best part was the location! Open the door and in seconds you are sipping coffee at charming cafes and strolling in stores and boutiques. You are close by to great walking trails. The apartment itself is super cute and clean. Loved the gas fireplace to take the chill off in the mornings. Bathrooms are very “cozy” i.e. tiny, but completely functional and clean. Gary was immediately responsive to my texts. Great place!

Comfort for Singles in Mill Valley

The apt is like no other vacation rental. It features 3 private comfy bedrooms! A private bedroom is a dream for single travelers.Usually singles are crowded into two beds in one room. Here you can sink into the most comfy mattress ever and rest in between your adventures or scheduled workshops. You will have luscious comfort, privacy and convenience as well as a beautiful living room or outdoor space to reunite with loved ones. The apt gives you access to many shops and restaurants as well as a home kitchen stocked with everything you need to eat at home or to prepare lunch for the next day's trip to Point Reyes or Tennessee Valley for an inspiring hike.

Everything we had hoped for

We rented 2 apartments from Gary. The studio below for my wife and I and this 3 bedroom for my 2 daughters, their family and 3 young grand Children. Both places were immaculately clean, spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and perfectly located since we were hosting a wedding at the Outdoor Art Club 2 blocks away. Gary was very available and accommodating, although we had few needs since everything was taken care of in advance. Don’t hesitate if you need a place in Mill Valley, studio, 1 or 3 bedroom, I would highly recommend Gary’s places. All of Mill Valley restaurants, coffee shops, markets and venues are within 1-3 blocks.

Nice place with a couple of items to keep in mind.

Well maintained property, located smack dab in the middle of downtown Mill Valley. Overall we enjoyed the property. Several items to be aware of: 1) Garbage trucks come early in the morning almost every day to service surrounding businesses; 2) Need to climb a short but slightly steep staircase to enter apartment level; and lastly, 3) NO TV. Owner informed us that they had removed their TV the day before we arrived! Not a deal breaker but it was included as an amenity in the pricing of the property when we booked it. Fortunately, there is lots to do in the surroundings area but we were not informed in a timely manner to give us the opportunity to make another reservation.

Family Wedding

The location of the property was amazing. Walkable to every wedding venue in town. Mill Valley Inn, Depot Café and Bookstore and the Out Door Art venue. It was great that the VRBO had a designated parking spot. Easy to get to from SFO and a pleasant drive once we got over the Golden Gate Bridge! We were also close to Muir Woods which was a beautiful half day excursion. Great restaurants near by and Mill Valley Market was convenient and good for any forgotten goodies. Gary was a wonderful host, He not only answered every email but also in rapid time. His detailed house guest book gave us great insight to the area, eateries and places of interest with detailed info on hikes walkable from his VRBO. We took a couple of them while we were there. The place was spotless when we arrived and there were no expectations about clean up; we didn't even have to strip the beds-which helps when you have to catch a plane!! We live in Central California and look forward to another visit to Mill Valley and hopefully Gary's VRBO. Thank you Gary for your hospitality.

Family stayed here for our wedding a block away

A vase of fresh flowers and some snacks greeted us, which was such a kind gesture. The location is superb - walking distance to restaurants, the venue, and photo spots. Having a parking space was nice so we didn't have to street park (although keep in mind the driveway is long and narrow - slow and careful is best). As the listing mentions, a flight of stairs is required and we highly recommend the more comfortable exterior flight. We had carloads full of decor boxes and did ok with the steps. The decor is just as charming as pictured and was a great background for getting-ready photos for the bridal party. Washer/dryer was convenient. We had the unique experience of staying during a July heatwave, and Mill Valley, like much of the Bay Area, doesn't do air conditioning very well. It was unfortunately uncomfortably hot inside during the day but cooled down overnight and mornings were lovely. There is a window AC unit in the living room, so likely we would have had the same experience in any VRBO in the area. Perhaps another unit in the rear bedroom would be helpful for future summers. We are still glad we booked this spot for the cuteness and location!
