Endless Blue Seafront Retreat - Mikra Mantineia

10/10 Excellent

"The view is exceptional and worth booking this property for alone..the beds in both bedrooms are very comfortable with good mattresses though the bed on the smaller bedroom is squeaking.There is plenty of space for 3-4 people to relax though the kitchen can really only have one person working in it at a time.As other reviews state, the bathrooms are run down but perfectly functional..there is occasionally a sewage smell from the smaller bathroom but we found that pouring some bleach down the drains helped get rid of the smell. Everything you need is provided including toiletries, basic cooking items, towels, blankets, etc.Other people mentioned having to park off site. this is not true, if you pull in tightly you can park right in front of the house, it is fine and our car was safe for the week we were there. you do need a car to enjoy the area but the house is a perfect base. There are a few good restaurants very close, 15.minutes walk one way for 2-3 nice places on the beach with very good food, and a other taverna only 5 minutes walk away. We enjoyed getting food out to heat up and make our own sides and salads to go with it. We had such a lovely relaxing time at this house and would love to come back and recommend to others but please understand it is a little run down, but this is reflected in the price. The host is very helpful and responsive and if you are someone who isn't bothered by minor imperfections this is a great house at a great price in a perfect location"

"This is our preferred stay when visiting Kalamata - we've stayed here several times. Right on the water of the Messinean Gulf and a 10 minute drive from the historical centre of Kalamata. The hotel is spacious and spotlessly clean and the rooms and their balconies face directly out to the Bay. A delicious breakfast is served every morning on the vast patio overlooking the water and a wonderful way to start your day. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure their guests feel welcomed and valued. A lovely pool to relax by or step down for a swim in the water of the bay. I can highly recommend and can't wait to until we return again!"

"Unforgettable stay and exceptional hospitality!We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the property The home is beautiful, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and more, and features incredible outdoor spaces to soak in the breathtaking views. Walking around the property surrounded by olive, pomegranate, and lime trees felt so tranquil and unique.What truly made our stay unforgettable was our host. They went above and beyond for us right from the start—when our rental car delivery was delayed until the next day, they personally drove us to a restaurant and picked us up so we wouldn't go without dinner! We were also treated to delicious homemade treats throughout our stay, including local olives, fresh bread, and jams made right from the property.The location is ideal—peaceful with great nearby restaurants to explore. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would love to return!"

"We had an amazing stay. The house is so beautiful - comfortable, spacious, clean and the views are just so gorgeous. Plenty of room for our family of 6 - 2 parents and 4 grown up adults. We had no problems with parking directly outside. There are plenty of tavernas and a little shop within a few minutes walk. We went into Kalamata quite a few times in the evening - 15 mins drive and ate at some great little local places. We also went into the hills above the villa and found some bars with spectacular views of the bay. A must at sunset. We did plenty of exploring across the region and the house was a great base for that."
