Overnight stay during a driving trip

Posted 12-Nov-2015
Pros: The rate
Cons: Facilities were rundown, needed extensive interior improvements. Electrical outlets did not meet codes and were dangerous.
Location: Unpleasant part of town
Overnight in Odessa TX was convenient during trip to Big Bend National Park. To begin, this part of Odessa was not very pleasant. It was noisy, industrial, and had excessive truck traffic. The hotel was rundown and unsafe.

Weekend stay

Posted 19-Jul-2015 on Orbitz
The hotel was a lot better than a few others in the area the pool wasn't open and it was a hot weekend that would have been perfect timing

Work

The hotel was busy lots of characters but on the plus side nobody bothered us so yes I would most definitely stay at the Travelodge again if required

Nasty

Posted 30-Mar-2014
Dirty, noisy, conduit running on ceiling - mostly oilfield workers. Didn't feel safe.

Good first impression of the room ruined

Posted 09-Mar-2014
Cons: Front desk staff and lounge
First impression of the room upon walking in. Later discovered brown dirty towels and unhelpful staff. Bed was comfortable.

Terrible

Posted 02-Jan-2014
Pros: absolutely nothing.
Cons: Everything if Days Inn wants customers to return.
Location: only stayed for on night, thank goodness.
I am surprised they would allow someone to stay in the room we stayed in. The toilet in the bathroom was not level, the tile in the bathroom was coming loose, and the bathtub/shower was disgusting. My wife and kids did not even shower as it needed a good cleaning.

NEVER going back!

Posted 07-Dec-2013 on Orbitz
I had one night stay here for some job related work. the windows to my ground floor room opened to the parking lot where trucks came in n out all time. the hallway was dirty and my non smoking room smelt of cigarettes. the bedding and pillows, everything smelt of smoke. ceiling was coming off at places. toiletries only included shampoo and soap. no conditioner or lotion. the bathtub wouldn't drain. hairdryer didn't work. some messy pink liquid stained the bottom shelves and door of the refrigerator. the place looked shady. as one reviewer mentioned, it looked like some people were permanently there. I was scared to spend the night there. and to top it all, I noticed my door safety latch had been moved when I got up next morning. apparently someone had tried to open my door at night. Do NOT stay here, spend those extra bucks for a safer stay somewhere else, esp if u r a single girl like me.
