Casa Zunum - Centro’s Hidden Luxury Tropical Gem

  • Welcome to Casa Zunum, a newly restored colonial gem in Merida’s Centro. This stylish retreat blends exquisite colonial charm with modern comforts, ideally located to explore Centro’s historic Old Town, its vibrant dining and shopping scenes and as well as the pyramids and archaeological sites.

    Prime location highlights:

    - Steps from La Negrita, Santa Lucía Park, a charming old-world plaza with trees and benches, Mercado Santiago and Mercado 60, Zócalo, and Paseo Montejo.

    - Easy walking access to shops, restaurants, and bars while still offering a tranquil, private sanctuary.

    The name "Zunum" derives from the Mayan x ts’unu’um, meaning "Colibri" (hummingbird). Our garden’s early-morning guest inspires our hope that you’ll enjoy your stay as much as the Colibri does.

    The pool is not heated but maintains a perfect temperature for cooling off after a day of tropical Merida heat.

    Electricity is charged separately: meter readings at arrival and departure, rate of 3.5 MXN per kWh.

    Weekly pool cleaning included; other specialty cleaning services available upon request and quoted separately.
