Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods.This 560 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.

The south wall is all windows with a deck overlooking the surrounding trees. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here! There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy. Take a walk through the forest; you will see a trail sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you and enjoy your stay!!

Our favorite place to stay in Mendocino
If you like total privacy, a charming space, great light, and easy access to the wonderful town of Mendocino, this place is for you. Sitting on the deck in the sun while watching the trees sway in the breeze is our idea of heaven. We've stayed here three times and can't wait to go back!

Quiet retreat in the forest
We really enjoyed our short stay here! The place is exactly how it’s shown in the photos and is very clean. A great place to retreat to in the evening and is close to activities near the coast and Fort Bragg. We’d definitely stay again!

It's a beautiful space in your a beautiful place. To sit in the sun on the deck with the redwoods towering around is a wonderful thing. In the night frogs croak from the creek below. The house is very well equipped -- the kitchen is a jewel. I had a very fine time. Already hoping I can go back.

The Forest-suite was just right. My wife and I were able to unwind in this tree top oasis of privacy. Close to Mendocino and shipping. We had wonderful weather which allowed us to go hiking and then come enjoy the stillness of this rustic place.

Coziest Stay in the Woods
While the weather in Mendocino this weekend was nonstop rain, we found the Forest Suite to be an incredibly cozy and comfortable stay. Jennifer’s directions were clear and concise and the amenities were great. Will definitely stay here again on our next Mendo excursion. Cheers!

Heaven on earth
This is the place to stay if you are looking to reconnect with yourself or someone you love. So peaceful, serene, private and close to everything at the same time. It was an absolute joy to look at the sky at night and wake up to the trees in the morning. So lucky to have found this place. Clean and has everything you can think of. By far, Jennifer’s Forest Studio is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed at. The way she styled and set up this very special place is so unique and comfortable. There was nothing she didn't provide and everything was clean. It was really hard to leave, so we will just have to be back.
