Forest hideawsy
The forest suite is a perfect spot to getaway from typical vacation accommodations. It is a very short drive to Mendocino, yet tucked away in the forest. The suite has everything you need and even some of the stuff you didn't think of, but your host did. Jennifer is very responsive and has created a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy.

Amazing place in the woods
It's a wonderful studio in a forest - cosy, comfortable to stay in, with a great view from the deck, peaceful surroundings, really close to the coast and Mendocino. I expected it to be nice (looking at the pictures in the listing) - and it turned out to be even better in person! We really loved our stay and hope to come back in future.

Our favorite place to stay in Mendocino
If you like total privacy, a charming space, great light, and easy access to the wonderful town of Mendocino, this place is for you. Sitting on the deck in the sun while watching the trees sway in the breeze is our idea of heaven. We've stayed here three times and can't wait to go back!

Quiet retreat in the forest
We really enjoyed our short stay here! The place is exactly how it’s shown in the photos and is very clean. A great place to retreat to in the evening and is close to activities near the coast and Fort Bragg. We’d definitely stay again!

It's a beautiful space in your a beautiful place. To sit in the sun on the deck with the redwoods towering around is a wonderful thing. In the night frogs croak from the creek below. The house is very well equipped -- the kitchen is a jewel. I had a very fine time. Already hoping I can go back.

Secluded & Quiet
The Forest-suite was just right. My wife and I were able to unwind in this tree top oasis of privacy. Close to Mendocino and shipping. We had wonderful weather which allowed us to go hiking and then come enjoy the stillness of this rustic place.

Coziest Stay in the Woods
While the weather in Mendocino this weekend was nonstop rain, we found the Forest Suite to be an incredibly cozy and comfortable stay. Jennifer’s directions were clear and concise and the amenities were great. Will definitely stay here again on our next Mendo excursion. Cheers!

Heaven on earth
This is the place to stay if you are looking to reconnect with yourself or someone you love. So peaceful, serene, private and close to everything at the same time. It was an absolute joy to look at the sky at night and wake up to the trees in the morning. So lucky to have found this place. Clean and has everything you can think of. By far, Jennifer’s Forest Studio is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed at. The way she styled and set up this very special place is so unique and comfortable. There was nothing she didn't provide and everything was clean. It was really hard to leave, so we will just have to be back.

Respite from the storm
I stayed here for 8 days as a Big Break from life and family. It was incredibly cozy, with the gas heater and comfy couch with comfy blanket, as rainstorms pounded the coast - rain on the skylights and outside the windows in the trees. Perfectly quiet and exactly what I needed.

Vacation in Mendocino
The solitude one feels at this home is remarkable. Even though there are homes nearby the mornings and evenings are quiet. Walks along the access road proved quite pleasant, with little to no traffic. The town of Mendocino is a few minutes away, and there are numerous hiking opportunities nearby. We stayed for three nights, and I found the home to be perfect for that duration. Overall, a really peaceful vacation - exactly what I wanted.

Quaint and peaceful location
The location was amazing with wonderful forrest views and felt very private. I absolutely plan to stay again sometime if I get the chance! A few window screens wouldn’t hurt as we were joined by a hummingbird at one point (who we safely deposited outside) as well as a few bees throughout our stay when we opened the windows to let in some of the coastal air but other than that our stay was perfectly pleasant and we loved the multiple skylights as they helped the interior of the Vrbo to stay naturally lit throughout the day.

We love this place!
This is our second time staying here and we love it! There is nothing better than sipping coffee on the balcony looking over the redwood trees! The location is perfect, so close to Mendocino and to trails for biking and hiking! We will definitely be back!

Escape from the world
We had a small issue upon checkin but soon found out why this home and host are rated at 5s across the board. Jen the host quickly remediated the issue and then went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our stay. This home provided a needed escape from everything. And the best part is you can go from redwood forest to sandy beach in less than 10 minutes or so. Very, very quiet. So relaxing to just sit on deck and hear only the forest. What a magical place to return to after a day of exploring the Mendocino coast. A very comfortable magical property tucked away in a redwood forest but very close to Mendocino and beaches and coastal walks.

Quiet, Peace and Tranquility
This little studio is perfect to get away from the noise of the city and get off the grid. It was so quiet and so dark at night, perfect for us and what we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had coffee in the morning looking out into the forest. We also walked along the trail to the road which was lovely. Only saw one other person. The bed is very comfortable and when we needed it, the WiFi was readily available. Neither of us had phone service in this location (Google Fi and Mint) but with the WiFi we could call on Fi. We plan on returning for more than two days next time. So we can relax and go for more strolls along the beautiful Mendocino coast. The drive to downtown Mendocino was easy and quick. Since there is only one unit, parking was not a problem. There are stairs but they were easy to navigate and although we did not go out at night, we could see there were lights along the staircase. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all!

The Perfect Retreat
This charming cabin, tucked into a peaceful grove of redwood trees, is an absolute gem. The apartment is perfect for two people who want to spend a lot of time enjoying the quiet and one another's company. The property is lovely, comfortable, well appointed, and thoughtfully designed. The location is perfect--5 miles by car to the heart of downtown Mendocino. There is a Harvest Market in town that will have all the food and supplies you need to stock up and settle into your peaceful cabin retreat. We stayed here for just a weekend, which was not nearly enough time. We would absolutely rent this property again (and look forward to a longer stay). When you go to this cabin, and the night is clear, do yourself a favor... go stand on the deck and look up! You'll be treated to a dazzling array of so many stars that you'll have to work to pick the constellations out from among the hundreds of twinkles. This place is magical.

Relaxation Zone!
We are a mature couple, and had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The accommodations are just as described. The only sound outside the cabin was that of distant waves. We had a little trouble getting movies on the TV, and Jen was nice enough to help us on Christmas eve--we did get it going. The kitchen equipment is quite good--far superior to what you usually find in a vacation rental--perfect for cooking up the fresh salmon we got off the boat in Ft. Bragg. We spent our two days walking along the shore (Russian Gulch, etc.). The only thing I would remind older travelers of is the one flight of stairs (as is clearly stated in the property description), and the high bed: Great for lying in bed and viewing the tops of the trees that surround the cabin, but a little adventurous to climb into or out of. Thank you Jen for a relaxing visit.

Privacy, peace and quiet
We spent Thanksgiving week in this lovely, private studio apartment, two miles from downtown Mendocino. We had complete peace and privacy - no traffic noise or nearby houses. With no street lights, the night sky was spectacular. The apartment, including the kitchen, was visually appealing. Someone had put a lot of thought into providing everything needed in the kitchen and throughout to make visitors comfortable. There were walking options right in the neighborhood, including a lovely coastal walk which seemed less traveled than the one near downtown Mendocino. This was a rejuvenating getaway, and we hope to return soon.

Enchanting hide away!
We were in town for a wedding at Spring Ranch Mendicino and this property was perfect for my husband and I. Not only was it a convenient, well-appointed and seamless rental...it was a charming, cozy, private get-away unlike any space we have ever stayed in. Cozy retreat
