Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful. The place was undergoing reno work, so there were some minor plumbing issues. The pool was closed. I did not know that would be the case when I booked. Breakfast buffet was nice, but nothing special…basic waffle maker, egg/biscuit/meat offering you’d get pretty much anywhere. Maybe because of the renos they didn’t have enough guests to do a full buffet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hotel undergoing renovation. That’s fine. -They told me to expect construction noise beginning at 9 am. They did NOT tell me, however, that housekeeping begins BANGING on the doors at 9/9:30. Before this, in 30+ years of travel and hotel stays, I’ve never before been told that I HAVE TO put the dnd sign on my door to prevent housekeeping from waking me up. The housekeeper (was very polite and apologetic) told me “they said [room #] was checked-out!” The front desk, on the other hand, was indignant. They could use a reeducation in hospitality. Beyond that, room was nice, price was good, location was convenient. Would recommend.
