Please note that fire guards are not provided and therefore guests choosing to use the log burner are doing so entirely at their own risk, also the cast iron mice on top of the wood burner are very cute but they do get very hot! There is a 'Mud Wash' in the garden with a hot and cold water feed so that guests can wash muddy boots and shower muddy dogs please check that you are happy with the consistency and the temperature of the water before standing your pet directly in it's flow. The patio does get slippery when wet so please be careful especially in bad weather conditions. In the cooler times of year it's wise to plan meals, shopping etc, as townies like me get too used to just popping out, and that could be a chore.The Stables is gorgeous, compact and cosy, and very well appointed. The bed and bedroom was comfy and we slept very well, and there was plenty of storage for a week stay. The shower is an over bath type, with a great rainforest shower. Kitchen -great appliances including dishwasher - just make sure that you read the guides- and it was well appointed with pots, pans, and nice sharp knives.
