The Riad staff were polite, kind, and professional, but we found the overall experience was not as welcoming as other places we stayed, all the lights were out in the main areas after 7, and the whole place felt very hushed early in the evening. (44 reviews) It’s situated within the medina which is ideal although you will need to walk a little way from the Main Street to access it. It was down a dirty alleyway with some cats and poo which wasn’t nice. It’s not their area but perhaps they may need to consider how to make that first area more appealing to guests as it looks awful. Inside it was a very nicely decorated Riad. Breakfast was good and useful. I would say if visiting in winter months that this Riad was very cold. The air con didn’t seem to work in heating up the room. This was the one place where I could see my breath so that was a bit of a drawback. I’m sure in the warmer months it’s very comfortable. (638 reviews) The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very well maintained and comfortable. The staff is also very helpful and kind. Everyone we spoke to was very professional and always ready to assist. We tried two restaurants. The Spanish restaurant and French restaurant. Both were delicious with attentive waiters. When we first checked in the bathroom floors had not been cleaned and we found stains on our bed sheets, when we told the front desk, they took care of it right away. Second, our laundry was not returned until we asked, but again when we told front desk, they were very apologetic and brought it right away. Last, we got a call the morning we were leaving saying a taxi picked up a friend of ours from the airport, however, we ordered a taxi to the train station that morning, again this was sorted out but definitely some back and forth with a few things at the hotel.
