(126 reviews) Pros- rooms are clean, riad is magnificent and beautiful, the staff is wonderful & kind. Cons- the Medina in Fes is a hard one to navigate making one wrong turn literally add to the complication. While it is only five minutes from the gate, that is five minutes if you already know the streets. As a solo traveler, it’s really important for me to able to move with some degree of ease. I’m not expecting second nature but nothing should be this hard. There were also a few instances that the communication I thought was clear was indeed not leaving me to navigate to the riad at midnight alone. Not impossible but not ideal.
