"Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Beds are exceptionally comfortable, I kept on sleeping throughout the day and night. Unfortunately, didn’t get to watch the football on the tv as was waiting for the supervisor to come off his break but ended up sleeping, so was probably best and wifi was good enough to watch the more interesting match on my phone."

"Our room ( number 3) was on the small side and our bathroom was tiny with an old fashioned fixed shower. The wash hand basin so small that it was impossible to fill our room kettle directly from the cold tap. I had to fill the kettle from a water glass. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy. There were no curtains on our window just a blind. My cooked breakfast was excellent and service was friendly if somewhat haphazard. Hotel grounds were impressive."

"Beautiful place, outstanding area. Very easy-going to check in. A place you feel instantly at home. Creaking doors doors in such an old and historic place adds some extra charme. I can only recommend it and give full points"
